A thick tree trunk can be seen on the left of the photo with sunlight shining on it in the early evening. The scene then the expands towards a black lamppost forward the middle of the scene and a green lawn in the distance.

Beacon Hill Park is really special in the early evening, with the sun lowering in the west and the light slanting in from the side to illumine the trees and bushes. And you don't see them in the photo, but there were lots of peacocks, just hanging around! #beaconHillPark #yyj #VictoriaBC

The Park sign faces the streets but the entrance is long way off. Goes to show you that its for attracting tourists.

I was surprised to find this #GiantSequoia at #BeaconHillPark in #Victoria on #VancouverIsland, #BC. And even more surprised to find out how many of them there are in and around Victoria (over 400!) despite being far outside their natural range.
