#Beliegered 's Ansul does encounter strange things and takes them very well. Apparently he's been out in the crazy parts of his world enough to not be surprised easily. The weirdest thing he's seen is probably the kingdom he's currently serving in, with its undead king and puppet subjects.

This story feels a bit like a bag of Halloween candy. Everything is, in some ways, delicious but you don't want to go shoving handfuls of it into your face. There's a balance to find and it is driving me insane.

My am I glad I'm not answering for the big novel anymore. For #Beliegered, the greatest desire of the king would destroy who he is should he obtain it... he's not aware of this. As he considers himself irrevocably changed already, he wouldn't believe anyone who told him either.

Ansul is the MC of #Beliegered because life threw him into peril enough times and he could really use a break please, which makes him the perfect candidate to become exactly what the desperate, possessive, cursed King he ends up serving needs.
