The image depicts a close-up of a few heather plants. The foreground is blurred, but in the middle ground, a few sharply depicted, though sparsely blooming, heather plants can be seen. Their blossoms, however, provide a characteristic colouring in the foreground. The background is out of focus, suggesting that there are more blooming heather areas at some distance.

The photograph depicts three sunflowers in the intense backlight of the low evening sun, which bathes the image in a warm orange glow, imparting an atmosphere of late summer. The sunflowers are facing left, turned away from the sun. Their heads are noticeably drooping to the lower left, suggesting they are nearing the end of their time. It appears they are part of a field where many other sunflowers once stood.

As #summer makes one last effort and the #rays of the #evening #sun bathe the remaining #sunflowers in a warm #light, the cooling air already hints at the arrival of #autumn.

Mittig im Bild ist ein orangefarbener Heißluftballon vor einem gelblich-orange angestrahlten bewölkten Abendhimmel. Rechts und links wird das Foto von hohen grünen Bäumen gerahmt, von denen man aber nur die seitlichen Ausladungen der Kronen sieht. Im Vordergrund ist eine Wiese, am Horizont sind ebenfalls grüne Bäume.

Naturschutzgebiet Bergvennen, auch bekannt als „Die sieben Seen“. Leider ist das Gebiet mittlerweile sehr trocken gefallen, und 7 Seen sind es nicht mehr.
