Best Politicians in Montreal As voted by our readers in the 2025 Best of MTL readers poll, the best politicians in Montreal are Valérie Plante, Mark Carney, Craig Sauvé, Manon Massé and Justin Trudeau.

As voting in this year’s #BestOfMTL readers poll took place during Canada’s election campaign, we bent the rules to allow votes for Mark Carney and Pierre Poilievre, who were voted #2 Best Politician and #2 Slimiest Politician, respectively.
