A group of paddleboarders on the water waiting as an orange sun rises from the horizon on the Summer Solstice at 4:45AM.
The sun sets on Bewl Water as the cloud draws in on Bewl Water.

There is quite a while since we replaced the Sunday runs with a lovely walk / hike and I know for sure that Mr M finds awesome routes all the time 😉
Started in Cousley Wood with a nice bit along #BewlWater .
A midday walk at #BewlWater 10/4/25 with an Osprey Pandion haliaetus making an appearance - my first here 15 years (but 2 reported in the Sussex Bird Report 2023 and now at least 1 for the 2025 Report) @sussexornitholo.bsky.social @btoengland.bsky.social #sussexbirding #ukbirding
A midday stroll at #BewlWater provided my first Comma of the year and my first Blackcap (singing beautifully). One waking from hibernation the other likely freshly arrived from Africa. Numerous Chiffchaff setting up territories. Plus: Buzzard; Great Spotted WP; Jay; Nuthatch etc. #ukbirding
2 lambs in a field, with their mum looking on
2 runners alongside a reservoir
When the #HastingsHalf is cancelled due to chemical madness, time for a Sunday Social with @wadhurstrunners.bsky.social to #BewlWater via lambs!
Wigeon still lingering at #BewlWater as I took a midday stroll in the sun today; also a pair each of Shoveler, Gadwall and couple of pairs of GCG, Mallard and Tufted. First Brimstone of year. Woodland fringes: Blue, Coal, Great & Long-tailed Tit, Nuthatch, Robin, Wren… #ukbirding
Beautiful sunrise paddle at Bewl Water this morning #bewlwater #tunbridgewells #paddlecabin ##paddleboarding
