The #NigerianCivilWar/#BiafraWar was fought from 1967-1970. On #ThisDayInHistory in 1969, Nigerian troops captured #Umuahia, capital of #RepublicOfBiafra. Since the war's end, #Igbo nationalism has only grown, but as #Biafra holds most of #Nigeria's oil, independence is unlikely.
