Not only do people jump into a perfectly good canyon, at least one has tried to jump over it. This mound is where #EvelKnievel built his ramp & attempt to jump the canyon, but failed when the parachute opened prematurely.

All in all, Twin Falls is an interesting place. 6/6

Even with the river low & the hydroelectric dam letting minimal water through to help refill the reservoirs up river, #ShoshoneFalls is rather pretty, as is the view down river.

#TwinFalls, #Idaho is a neat place, with the Snake River cutting a canyon through an otherwise relatively flat plain. Here's the canyon by where US93 crosses.

Oof. Stopping early was a good call. Looks like the tailwind is blowing in some stormy weather & the wind has picked up to levels & gusts that would be dangerous, even as a tailwind , on a bicycle.

Glad I have a good tent! πŸ˜…πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘πŸΌ

I found a wild geode! Neat!

I've only ever seen them in shops & museums, with nicely cut & polished rims. I stumbled across this one when making camp when I saw an odd white ring of rock. Picked it up & rinsed it out, & here it is. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘πŸΌ

For real, I wish #cycling on the interstate were allowed in every state, not just the western states with wide open spaces where the interstate may be the only viable route between towns.

It would make long haul #BicycleTravel feel so much safer everywhere. IMHO. 4/4

This is yet another reminder that well before we white colonizers came along native people were living on these lands, and those people are still here. These petroglyphs were made by the Western Shoshone people. 2/3
