A Farewell to BigMuscle and BigMuscleBears After more than 26 incredible years, it’s time to say goodbye to the BigMuscle and BigMuscleBears websites. What began as a small hobby site grew into something far more meaningful—a vibrant, supportive community of like-minded men. Over the years, countless people have thanked Bill and me, not just for creating a space to connect, but for fostering real friendships. BigMuscle was never just about hooking up—it was about finding someone to grab coffee with in a new city, share a laugh, or feel a little less alone. Sure, some extracurricular adventures happened, but the heart of it was always connection. With the changing legal landscape and my own journey toward retirement, we’ve made the difficult decision to take the sites offline after September 30, 2025. It’s bittersweet, but it feels like the right time to move on. I’ve loved every minute of this ride—and I still smile when someone walks into our bagel shop and says, “Hey, aren’t you the guys from BigMuscle?” Even after the sites go offline on October 1, you can still reach me at BigMuscle@BigMuscle.com. That email will stay active for as long as I’m around, so feel free to drop a note, say hi, or ask questions. And here’s the good news: the BigMuscle/BigMuscleBears party at Folsom Street Fair will continue for many years to come. It’s a tradition we’re proud of, and Bill and I will always be part of it. So mark your calendars for that Saturday in San Francisco—we’ll be there. Thank you for all the amazing years, the friendships, the stories, and the love. You made this community what it was, and we’re forever grateful. With love and gratitude, Andy (and Bill)
Sad to see this message from BigMuscle / BigMuscleBears. They were among the original web1.0 sites for "social" engagement in the musclebear community. I made and kept in touch with many friends there for over 20 years. Thank you Bill & Andy
