I am trying to understand the #BigPowerOff, but keep coming back to the fact we all pay for usage - so is the idea to all just be sat in the dark and save a fiver? I'm struggling to understand how it's owning Big Energy?

#BigPowerOff is an amazing hashtag ... you are within your rights to turn off your consumption of the energy companies' products ... but they and their allies are genuinely accusing people of being domestic terrorists for co-ordinating to consume in a way that affects them.

First picture, Dinorwig hydro power station. It can generate 1800 MW with 12 seconds notice. Second picture, a strange meme claiming that turning the lights off for 10 minutes will scare the power companies into reducing prices. Somehow I doubt it #BigPowerOff
