The rationale for targeting the Hippo pathway in cancer therapy.
Different strategies have been developed to target the Hippo pathway in cancer therapy. According to working mechanisms, these strategies can be classified into four categories: targeting YAP/TAZ, targeting upstream regulators of YAP/TAZ, targeting peripheral regulators, and targeting downstream effectors. Candidate drugs in each category are listed.
