As we wrap up biodiversity week, thank you to all the producers and consumers who call our natural lands home. Without you, the world would be a very different place.
#BiodiversityWeek2025
This week we’ve been celebrating biodiversity week. All the producers and consumers in the habitat lands have their own unique and special role in an ecosystem. That balance can be thrown out of whack by removing one species.

A beige background with the Hills For Everyone logo, right, and a calendar and label: Biodiversity Week (September 6th). Below it is a food chain with five bubbles of differing colors (yellow, orange, blue, purple, pink) and labels (producers, primary consumer, secondary consumer, tertiary consumer, and quaternary consumer). It is in a circle flow indicating dependency on one another.
It is Biodiversity Week.
In every food chain, producers like plants capture energy from the sun, while consumers—herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores—depend on them and each other. It’s nature’s cycle of energy flow!
