One of my favorite memories from Thailand was searching for a red-headed trogon in Khao Yai National Park. In cool air beneath towering trees, gibbons echoed. When my guide spotted it, we raised our cameras and found it perched—a flash of impossible color in deep green. #birdsofthailand
At Khao Yai NP, my group and I were lucky to see three hornbill species—Great, Wreathed, and Oriental Pied. Incredible to watch and photograph, especially seeing the male bring food to the female during courtship. Moments like this make the trip special. #BirdsofThailand #Hornbill #KhaoYai
Last night I heard screeching outside. Thinking it was something attacking one of the ducklings I ran to find one of my dogs had caught a bird. I told her to leave it and she instantly dropped it. I put it in a box for the night. This was the release.

Thrilled to see one of these yesterday in Thailand. The critically endangered Spoon-billed Sandpiper. I’m unfortunately not here for birding but managed to get out for one day! #birdingthailand #birding #birdsofthailand
