It's #Biceptember, which sounds like #BiSeptember, and is also #BisexualAwarenessMonth, so I'm showing off my #BiGuy flexing a bit. Yes, he's currently half of a #FitBoys couple with Carver, but his prior relationships have been with women.

I call myself pansexual, but I'm happy with bisexual as well. I don't experience primary sexual attraction, so gender definitely doesn't play a part in it, and it doesn't affect my romantic attraction, either.

But I came out (limited) as bi back in 1995! My door:

I identify as bisexual (I define that as being attracted to *at least* 2 genders).

Younger folks seem to favor the term pansexual, and I’m fine with that label too. Demisexual is another one that also fits me. But bisexual is how I first came out 20-odd yrs ago.

Alright, so I said I was going to post about my research during #BisexualAwarenessMonth and then it came and went. Then, last week, I missed #LGBTHealthWeek. I would say "oops", but in reality, it pretty much perfectly reflects the laborious nature of being out in the academy. 1

Very few male bisexuals using the #BisexualAwarenessMonth hashtag. That makes me a sad panda.
