Today we pay our respects to the victims of the Greek Genocide from the region of Eastern Thrace. During Easter of 1914 (April 6), Ottoman authorities intensified their persecution of Greeks in the region. The Greeks of Eastern Thrace refer to this day as #BlackEaster.
To honor my annual failure to meet the well-established #BlackEaster standards & my expert ability to draw the ire of church mothers, I shall author a series of short stories about this phenomenon entitled “Savagery in the Sanctuary: Is it for Him or them?”
