Celebrated #BlackHoleFriday today by being unable to escape the black hole that is my bed.
Happy #BlackHoleFriday! @flatironinstitute.org scientists recently detected a black hole merger, providing the clearest evidence yet of how black holes work and confirming Einstein & Hawking's predictions: www.simonsfoundation.org/ringing-black-hole-confi...
This #BlackHoleFriday, revisit a huge result from this summer: the largest merger of two black holes ever measured. Read more: www.simonsfoundation.org/2025/07/21/gravitational... #science #astrophysics #FlatironCCA
Black Friday? How about #BlackHoleFriday! Celebrate with a deep dive into the universe's most massive black holes with #NASmember Chung-Pei Ma, whose discoveries are reshaping our understanding of these architects of galactic evolution. 🕳️ Read here: www.nasonline.org/news/from-da...

Celebrating #BlackHoleFriday with a twist (ok, ok it is a reach) - here's our visualization of stellar birth, well before the possible black hole finale. 🔭 🧪
#Thanksgiving is over, but #BlackHoleFriday is back for seconds!
For our annual celebration of these space oddities, follow @NASAUniverse and get pulled in by fun facts and the latest discoveries revealing the cosmic mysteries of black holes.
Wieso ausgerechnet die einzige Konstante der Formel kürzen?
Wir sind in der Werbung konstantem Betrug ausgesetzt!
Im #BlackHoleFriday wird daher jede Menge c(ash) versenkt.
Happy #BlackHoleFriday! If you're interested in a PhD studying black holes (or know someone who might be) please check out this thread about applying for a position at @UofGlasgow and scholarships available 🖤 https://twitter.com/cplberry/status/1460587805256650759
Throwback to one of my favourite blog posts, imagining a black hole as a Pokémon https://cplberry.com/2016/07/16/pokemon-li-go/ #BlackHoleFriday #Fakemon #SciComm
soon! #BlackHoleFriday
Black holes can be hard to spot with light (we have to look for their effects on things around them) but they are the perfect sources of gravitational waves! @LIGO & @ego_virgo have revolutionised our understanding of black holes #BlackHoleFriday

Happy #BlackHoleFriday! Remember, that while black holes are cute, you must not hug them. Please keep a respectful distance

With next-generation gravitational-wave detectors, we could see binary black holes across the entire history of the Universe (well, as far back as we expect black holes to exist). For some reason, we forgot #BlackHoleFriday discounts in our white paper https://arxiv.org/abs/1903.09220
Given #BlackHoleFriday discounts, we would expend all black holes to be around 10%–50% lighter than usual. Careful analysis will be needed to confirm this. We will need next-generation gravitational-wave detectors to get a large enough sample to accurately measure the discount
We're getting #BlackHoleFriday off to a good start! How many more binary black holes did people order? https://twitter.com/cplberry/status/1200425208068366341

One of the things I love about black holes is how beautifully simple they are—nothing else is as perfect. The great physicist Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar summed this up in the preface to his book which inspired me when reading it #BlackHoleFriday
