This is technically a commissioned screenshot for Marrow, but it's the same characters. Caleb is dual-wielding flare guns and firing them at a group of cultist and at least one bloated butcher.
Blood is one of the greatest games of...ever. If you don't have a copy of the first-person shooter that feels like Evil Dead 2, just reskeet and I'll choose one of the reskeeters for a copy - long as you're sentient!

but in Blood (1997) they used 3D pixels - voxels - where previous games only had 2D sprites slapped against 3d walls.
And state-of-the-art 3D tech from the era is so fucking cool.
