So relatively major change for the #BloodRite #ttrg at least in flavor, not strictly mechanical. Skill Trees are now flavored as Specific Gear or Weapon Mods. So the Corruption Mod can be attached to any Melee weapon which then allows the user to use their Corruption Rites with that weapon. 1/?
Given #BloodRite has a rudimentary limb system, I sometimes wonder if I should have a piecemeal armor system? But fuck that'd be a lot to write in terms of equipment rules and pieces lol

Anyone know a decent free graphic design program? I need to make a character sheet for my TTRPG.

#BloodRite is designed to be a dungeon focused mission based system. Every player will have a limited inventory for consumables and loot. Emphasizing a need for item management as parties explore the dank depths of a forgotten mausoleum, or raid a megacorp office!
In the world of #BloodRite, Death has died. In combat, this means rather than focusing on not dying, players must avoid getting maimed. If a character looses all their Blood, they roll on a Wound table to determine how they get injured before regaining all their blood. 1/2
Water laps gently against the pier. The smell of brine assaults your nose. A claw suddenly breaches the surface, as an entity, more machine than person, pulls itself from the depths. You feel cold as it's glassy eye focuses on you. One of the Drowned, a player ancestry in the #BloodRite #ttrpg 1/X
Drums in the distance, a sudden chill in the air, ice begins to form on the buildings around you, this isn't the start of winter, it's a raid by the Chylthist, the ruthless hunters of the #BloodRite #ttrpg. 1/X
In the world of #BloodRite, the #indie #ttrpg, Rain, the proto-divine mixed its Blood with the clay of the earth and formed the first mortals. The Titans. Towering beings, the Titans made colossal castles and thrived under the guidance of their divine patron. 1/X
With delicately sculpted porcelain skin, and intricate carved gemstone hair, the Illustrious of the #BloodRite #ttrpg stand out as ethereal, unchanging symbols of hope against the backdrop of the grim decay of fallen world. 1/X
In the #BloodRite #ttrpg, the Emberkin arose from the ashes of the old world. Despite appearing to be flaming humanoids, Emberkin are gelatinous creatures who's bodies are composed of highly flammable sludge leftover from some divine weapon after they rained down hellfire durimg the Cataclysm. 1/X
Goblins in the #BloodRite #ttrpg gain a +1 to their Subterfuge while suffering a -1 to their Brutality.
Their Ancestry Rites often reflect their sneaky yet cooperative nature. Junker Tactics, allows a Goblin to build cover from trash or other items in their environment to help shield their allies.
Therals in the #BloodRite #ttrpg gain +1 to their Cunning while in turn suffering a -1 to their Brutality.
Their Ancestry Rites display their aptitude for the sciences. Blood to Sanguine for instance let's them sacrifice health for fuel for Tech Rites.
When the Cataclysm ravaged the world of the #BloodRite #ttrpg, only two tribes of Gnomes survived. One under the protection of the mysterious Clockwork God, while the other were forced below ground into the ruins of their city. Over time, they changed. Becoming the Therals, and the Goblins. 1)
#Sylvan players in the #BloodRite #ttrpg gain a +1 either their Brutality or Subterfuge, taking a -1 penalty to the stat not chosen.
As for Syvan Ancestry Rites, some grant them bonuses of Hunting Skill Checks, while others allow them to graft monster parts onto themselves.
The #Syvan kindred of #BloodRite did not escape the changes of the Catacysm. The sun was blocked by ash, and huge swaths of their ancestral forests burned.
No longer able to sustain themselves on light, the plant like Sylvans began to modify themselves with the flesh of animals, becoming carnevors.
Dwarven player characters in the #BloodRite #indie #ttrpg gain a +1 to their Brutality score at character creation, but in turn suffer a -1 to their Subterfuge.
Dwarven Ancestral Rites include options for adding extra armor, gaining mounted firearms, or even the ability to turn into a ball!
For instance, the #Dwarves of #BloodRite were all but wiped out. Those who remained put everything into crafting a soul forge, to aggregate their surviving souls and etch them onto living stone masks. So the Dwarves lived on, no longer as Flesh and blood, but machines with enchanted stone masks. 2/2
#BloodRite has 4 primary statistics that define the core of a character. Brutality, Subterfuge, Cunning, and Luck.
Each stat can range from -3 to +3, adding or subtracting that value from all checks made with the associated stat, while also effecting different aspects of a character. 1)
#Bloodrite is a d6 base system. Most checks are resolved by rolling 2d6 and comparing each number against a target dc. One success is a hit, two successes is a crit, while no successes is a miss, and two ones is a crit fail. 1)
In #BloodRite, combat is tactical and punishing. Everyone has a pool of Blood that can shield them from harm. Damage is first subtracted from this pool, before finally inflicting a Wound which can have debilitating consequences. Once a wound is dealt, a creature's Blood replenishes. 1)
BloodRite: The Hermit thrives in solitude with their bunsen burners, vials, and chemical cocktails. Always mixing together new reagents to create new effects. From poisons, to elixirs, to devastating explosives. The Rites of the Hermit allow for their practitioner to use the power of Sanguine to create quick consumable items for almost any situation.
in the #BloodRite #TTRPG, the Rite of the Hermit is one of two Crafting Rites. Rites dedicated not to combat or support directly, but the creation of consumable items. The Hermit grants its user the ability to craft batches of temporary alchemical items every day!
In the #BloodRite #TTRPG, the Rite of Strength focuses on enhancement abilities for yourself and your allies. While also inflicting debuffing effects on your foes, like siphoning their blood, the resource they need to use their own Rites. . .
Decided to lean more into my affinity for the weird and kinda fucked up in #BloodRite. Death is dead. Why not fully embrace that and have dying be more of a setback with skills dedicated to taking advantage of this?
maybe I should lean more into the weird edgy elements of #BloodRite
An engineer activates a clockwork heart and gasps as his robot's eyes power on. A Necromancer implants a shard of her soul into a stitched together cadaver, breathing a semblance of life into it. And a thaumaturge conducts a ritual and binds a lesser Elemental to their will. This is the range in diversity of the Rite of the Chariot. While some may simply bind a creature of the wastes to themselves as a pet or servant, those who fully embrace the Rite of the Chariot are able to modify their familiar as they grow in strength. Allowing them to take what may have once been a simple cadaver, and mutate it into something resembling a fabled dragon of old. . .
In the #BloodRite #ttrpg, at the start of a character's turn, they gain up to a maximum of four actions they may spend as they please. For someone using the Rite of the Chariot, one or two of these actions are often spent commanding their familiar, granting them up to three actions of their own.
debating if I should give #BloodRite a Heritage and Ancestry system similar to #Pathfinder. On one hand, thats even more flexibility and build customization beyond the open skilltree system, and lets me better emphasize differences among the ancestries. But its also a lot of extra work. 1)
In the thick of battle, a blow catches you off guard and you spot a shotgun leveled directly at your gut. You hear the explosion and you brace for the explosion of pain as the slugs tear through your flesh, but the impact never comes. The shrapnel from the ammunition spatters to the ground around you. Deflected by a quick shield from one of your allies. The rites of the Lovers may not be commonly practiced in this modern world, but those who master its ways are able to keep their friends for much longer than those who spurn the path. Using technology or Mutations, a master of the Lovers Rites are able to create powerful Force Fields. Either halting an enemies movements, blocking attacks, or even creating much needed stairways.
The Lover's Rite in the #BloodRite #TTRPG is almost an entirely support based skill tree. Those who use it can block incoming attacks, and create temporary structures!
The Rite of the Emperor dictates that its practitioner is only as strong as her fellows. For her Rites rely on their strength to see them through. The Emperor skill tree is focused entirely around its Commanding Presence. This Presence allows its user to influence thier allies. Granting them powerful buffs and potentially even additional actions. But even outside the fight, the Emperor specializes in providing critical support for their kinsmen. By using their charm to ease tensions or by using their force of will to keep unruly citizens in line.
the next Rite for the #BloodRite #TTRPG is the Support centered skill tree of the Emperor. Rather than focusing on using Sanguine to empower their strikes or fuel their inventions, the Emperor is almost entirely centered on force of personality and tactical knowledge to the benefit of their allies.
