On May 7, 2012, the Cologne regional court ruled that the foreskin amputation on a boy, which was not medically indicated, was considered to be inadmissible bodily harm. The worldwide day of genital autonomy (WWDOGA) is committed to ensuring that all children, regardless of gender, are granted the right to physical integrity and genital self-determination.
