It's the grass. Not the male trees.

Allergies are rampant because we disrupted the natural balance of Mother Earth by only planting male trees that release large amounts of pollen into the air.. instead of female trees that capture it & drop fruit.

Enjoyed talking about #BotanicalSexism in tree planting... which tbh I think is mostly just like its initials. Gotta be dioecious & wind pollinated to support the hypothesis... and options among commonly-planted street tree species are limited. Sure, red maple is a bit of a caveat. #iamabotanist
