An ornate frame in red and gold with the header "Bound By Blood An Astarion Fanzine" Beneath in the main frame is the following text: Silken Blood by Tavylia Sin Astarion frowned in return, groaning slightly as he moved in the old armchair he had claimed from an abandoned shack above ground. “Because it’s wrong, it would set a bad example.” He gestured towards the other spawn through the opening in the canvas that made a makeshift tent. Out in the Underdark encampment, they shared drinks from flasks, tended wounds, argued over trivial matters now that they had the freedom to be troubled over who had taken whose favourite shirt, or whose turn it was to clean. “They have come so far, tried so hard, and for some reason or another they still look to me to be their example of how to live.” “It will make you strong. This is what you told me.” The rasp of the drider’s voice was coloured with a mix of concern and urgency as he leaned closer, fingertips tracing the line of raised veins that pulsed subtly under pale skin. “Be strong, for them.”
