A bowed psaltery - a triangle-shaped stringed musical instrument with 9 strings and a dragon-shaped sound hole. It is medium brown wood, and it is displayed on a small wooden easel. A dark brown wooden bow is laying on the bottom of the easel under the bowed psaltery.

I got this bowed psaltery from a renn faire a few years ago.

I love the dragon-shaped sound hole!

It can be played with a pick or the bow that is laying beneath it in the picture.
