Brazil stocks lower at close of trade; Bovespa down 0.10%
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Electric Power, Real Estate and Public Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Raizen SA Preferred (BVMF:RAIZ4), which rose 5.98% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Cosan SA Industria e Comercio (BVMF:CSAN3) added 3.42% or 0.20 points to end at 6.05 and Fleury SA (BVMF:FLRY3) was up 3.22% or 0.48 points to 15.37 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Auren Energia SA (BVMF:AURE3), which fell 3.04% or 0.33 points to trade at 10.53 at the close. Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3) declined 3.00% or 0.13 points to end at 4.20 and Braskem SA (BVMF:BRKM5) was down 2.88% or 0.27 points to 9.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 438 to 436 and 52 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.68% to 24.65.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.84% or 29.70 to $3,545.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.94% or 0.60 to hit $64.61 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 2.28% or 8.60 to trade at $386.10 .
USD/BRL was up 0.18% to 5.44, while EUR/BRL rose 0.43% to 6.37.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 97.60.
