The front of ruined Witley Court. A row of pillars topped by a balcony link two square towers, whose windows are missing. Behind the pillars stands the ruined wall of the room beyond.
The front of Great Witley parish church, which is built in the Baroque style. There is a clock tower with a golden dome. The clock is blue with golden hands. The front door has a pillar on either side and a pointed porch roof. There is a small, plain, rectangular window on each side. There is an upper storey of three windows, which have arch-shaped tops.
The interior of Great Witley parish church is decorated in an ornate Baroque style and the main colour is yellow and there is plenty of white and gold. The pews are wooden. There is an organ upstairs over the front door. The guide told me there is ground kelp in the window glazing.
The picture shows my lunch. This was a delicious brie and pear toastie that was well presented in delicate triangles with rustic grill marks. The toasted sandwich triangles are flanked by a first-rate coleslaw and a crisp garnish.
We've had an Easter outing to Witley Court, a ruined mansion managed by English Heritage. It is northeast of Bromyard/west of Worcester. Imagine if Bridgerton burned down. #Bromyard #Herefordshire #Worcestershire #Worcester #EnglishHeritage
