Are you passionate about shaping the future of air platforms? In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in developing sophisticated digital models that represent complex systems and entire aircraft. This involves creating requirements, functional, plant, and control models – essentially building the core of a ‘digital twin‘ for advanced platforms like Tempest.
Your work will directly contribute to advancing UK air capabilities. You’ll collaborate closely with a diverse community of specialist engineers, understanding how different systems interact and developing strategies to use modelling for optimizing testing, validation, and demonstrations. Verifying these models against real-world trial and in-service data will also be a key part of your responsibilities.
**BAE Systems is looking for individuals with:**
* A degree in a STEM discipline (or HND/HNC with equivalent experience).
* A background in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
* Knowledge of aircraft operations and performance parameters.
* Strong analytical skills for system and aircraft performance assessment.
* Ideally, experience with tools like SysML, Matlab/Simulink, or Cameo System Modeller, and an understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
