Donald Trump, Peter Thiel, and the Technocrats Donald Trump’s 2nd term is off to a controversial start, with his supporters celebrating his Executive Orders to free Ross Ulbricht, ending funding for schools requiring COVID19 injections, calling for releasing the JFK, MLK, and RFK files, and ending support for USAID. However, while the MAGA movement cheers Trump for moving at a rapid pace, many of his supporters appear to be turning a blind eye to the influence of Peter Thiel and other Technocrats. Who is Peter Thiel and what is a Technocrat? Let’s Dive In. In the early 20th century, a movement began to develop around a political theory known as Technocracy, a system wherein management of governments is handled by technical experts, often involving technology-focused solutions. Early proponents of Technocracy claimed that the concept would lead to better management of resources and the protection of the planet. However, this system of governance by technological experts and their technology would also involve a loss of privacy, as well as centralization of power and the management of all human behavior. Although the term appears to have been largely forgotten, the technocratic philosophy and influence can be seen everywhere in our modern digital world. One of the most influential proponents of Technocracy was a man named Howard Scott, a writer who founded the Technical Alliance in New York City in 1919. Scott believed that business owners lacked the necessary skills and data to reform their industries, and thus control should be handed over to engineers. Technocrats publicized their vision of a centrally-planned world via books, speeches, clubs, and political parties. This resulted in a brief period of popularity in the US and Canada in the years following the Great Depression. As politicians and economists searched for a solution to the financial calamity, the technocrats imagined a world where politicians and business owners were replaced with scientists, engineers, and other technical experts, who would manage the economy. However, in the 1940s, mainstream interest in the Technocracy movement seemed to dissipate. The ideas that underpinned the technocratic vision received a notable endorsement in 1970, when political scientist Zbigniew Brzezinski released his book, _Between Two Ages: America’s Role in the Technetronic Era_. Brzezinski will be familiar to long time researchers of the ruling elite. Until his death in 2018, Brzezinski was a diplomat who ran in the same circles as David Rockefeller and former Secretary of State and accused war criminal Henry Kissinger. Brzezinski served as advisor to several presidents—from Jimmy Carter to Barack Obama. Brzezinski was also a member of the Atlantic Council, the National Endowment for Democracy, and the Council on Foreign Relations. Although Brzezinski’s _Between Two Ages_ substituted the term “Technetronic” for “Technocracy,” the depiction of the future is the same: a world in which the scientific and technological elite centrally plan the lives of all humanity. Essentially, Brzezinski’s vision is a technologically-advanced authoritarian-style collectivism, wherein individual liberties are subordinated to the apparent needs of the collective. When we examine the world of 2025 we clearly see the signs of technocratic influence. For example, we can see this influence in the wealthiest companies and most influential CEOs. These individuals are running companies that have amassed large amounts of financial wealth, as well as unfathomable amounts of digital data on all of their customers. From Jeff Bezos at Amazon, Bill Gates of Microsoft, Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook, Elon Musk of Tesla and SpaceX, we can see the technocratic ideology. These men and their colleagues in various technological industries wield immense power through their companies, wealth, and cultural influence. These individuals have enough money, resources, and connections to shape elections, geoengineer the climate, and cause dips in the stock market, to name a few examples. They are the technocrat class of 2025. **Who is Peter Thiel?** Peter Thiel is the infamous co-founder of Palantir, the “private” surveillance firm with a long history of involvement and collaboration with the CIA. Thiel is also a Steering Committee Member of the Bilderberg Group, the infamously secretive group which represents the interests of the hidden ruling class. In the second Trump administration, Thiel’s influence is more visible than ever as numerous associates and acolytes of his are set to play various influential roles. An examination of Donald Trump’s cabinet reveals many connections to Thiel. **Vice President J.D. Vance** Despite not giving directly to the 2024 Trump campaign, Thiel has gained well-deserved scrutiny for his role in financing the rise of Vice President J.D. Vance. Vance, the 40-year-old former Ohio Senator, was in attendance at David Sacks’ June 2024 fundraiser for Trump. Sacks is at former COO of Paypal. According to “two people with knowledge of the exchange”, during the June event Trump “informally polled the room” regarding who he should choose for his Vice Presidential running mate. David Sacks, Chamath Palihapitiya, and others all told Trump he should choose Vance. Elon Musk also reportedly encouraged Trump to pick Vance. A few weeks later at the Republican National Convention that’s exactly what Donald Trump did. Thiel and Vance have an extensive relationship. Vance claims that after hearing Peter Thiel deliver a speech at Yale Law School in 2011 he was inspired to pursue a career in big tech firms. He started as a junior investor with the Thiel-backed Mithril Capital in 2016. Vance briefly worked at biotechnology firm Circuit Therapeutics, a move which then-CEO Frederic Moll told the NY Times was a “favor to Peter.” In 2019, Vance would found his own venture firm, Narya Capital, with financial backing from the former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, the billionaire investor Marc Andreessen, and, of course, Peter Thiel. When Vance announced his run for Ohio Senator, Peter Thiel was there and gave $15 million to the campaign. With this money Vance was able to secure a victory and within two years he was on the way to the White House with the full support of Thiel and other technocrats. #### **Elon Musk** While Musk is a powerful and influential technocrat in his own right he and Thiel have their own history of collaboration. Elon Musk and Peter Thiel have been friends for more than two decades and both men received massive financial wealth from their co-founding of PayPal. Thiel has also been a prominent investor in Musk’s various ventures, including Neuralink. Musk and Peter Thiel also co-founded “America PAC” as their vehicle to support Trump’s return to the White House. In July 2024 it was initially reported that Musk would invest $45 million a month into the Trump campaign. In the end, Musk would give nearly $75 million to the PAC. As promised, Trump nominated Musk to lead the “Department of Government Efficiency”. While the idea of reducing government waste and increasing efficiency is an appealing proposition, it should also be noted that Musk’s talk of efficiency is reminiscent of the little known Efficiency Movement which predated the more well-known Technocracy movement. The Efficiency Movement sought to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the economy and society, and to develop and implement “best practices”. Supporters of the movement included Andrew Carnegie and John D. Rockefeller. Is the goal of Trump and Elon to make government more efficient to serve the people? Or, is the goal to finally fulfill the dream of the original technocrats and eliminate the political and business classes in favor of “machines” (Artificial Intelligence), centrally planning, and managing society? Time will tell. #### **David Sacks** David Sacks is most well-known for his involvement in the early days of PayPal, serving as the COO with Thiel as the CEO. He is considered a member of the so-called “PayPal Mafia”, a name given to the founders of PayPal who later founded numerous tech companies, including Tesla, LinkedIn, Palantir Technologies, SpaceX, YouTube, and Yelp. In June 2024, Sacks hosted a fundraiser for Trump at Sacks’ home in San Francisco. It was this dinner where the billionaires told Trump he should choose Vance as his running mate. Shortly after his victory in the 2024 election, Trump rewarded Sacks for his loyalty by appointing him as the “AI and Crypto Czar”. In this position Sacks is expected to greatly influence the U.S. government’s policies on cryptocurrency, and the advancement of AI. #### **Howard Lutnick** Howard Lutnick is the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald investment firm and has become a vocal proponent for Bitcoin in the last couple years. Trump has recently nominated him to be U.S. Commerce Secretary. Lutnick is also an investor in Strive Asset Management, which was founded by Vivek Ramaswamy. Peter Thiel, the Founders Fund, and J.D. Vance’s Narya Capital also contributed to Strive’s $30 million funding round. Lutnick is also a part owner of video platform Rumble, founded by Chris Pavlovski. In December 2021, Pavlovski announced his intention to take Rumble public by combining forces with CF Acquisition Corp, a division of the Lutnick’s Cantor Fitzgerald. Lutnick was also formerly a neighbor to Jeffrey Epstein in NYC and raised millions for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential campaign. Lutnick has spoken at the World Economic Forum’s various meetings as far back a s 2016 and as recently as January 2023. #### **Jim O’Neill** Donald Trump has appointed Jim O’Neill as deputy secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). O’Neill has extensive connections and collaborations with Peter Thiel. O’Neill worked at two of Peter Thiel’s funds, Clarium Capital and Mithril Capital Management from 2012 to 2019. In 2010, he co-founded Peter Thiel‘s Thiel Fellowship. He also worked as the CEO of the Thiel Foundation from 2009 to 2012. From 2019 to July 2021, O’Neill was the CEO of SENS Research Foundation, an organization focused on “rejuvenation”. The SENS received its initial funding from Peter Thiel in 2006 and 2008, a fact that should come as no surprise given Thiel’s own interest in fighting aging using the blood of the young. #### **Ken Howery** Trump named Ken Howery as his pick for U.S. ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark. The connections between Howery, Peter Thiel, and the World Economic Forum run deep. Apparently, Trump sees those connections as a net positive. Howery was another PayPal co-founder with Thiel. The pair also co-founded the venture capital fund Founders Fund. In March 2012, the WEF named Howery a member of the Young Global Leader program. He is also a member of the Selection Committee for the World Economic Forum Technology Pioneers Program. Howery may have been selected for the role of ambassador to Denmark to help Trump fulfill his goal of annexing Greenland. Denmark has administrative control over Greenland as part of its kingdom. Interestingly, Trump’s calls for purchasing Greenland and making it part of the United States mirrors the original Technocrats plan for the “Technate of America”, including Canada and Panama as well. #### **Jacob Helberg** Jacob Helberg was appointed to be undersecretary of state for economic growth, energy and the environment. Helberg donated $2 million to Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. He is an ardent supporter of Israel and a former supporter of Democrats who has said his shift to Trump was a result of Democrats becoming “anti-Israel”. Helberg is also a senior adviser to Palantir Technologies, the private surveillance firm co-founded by Peter Thiel. Helberg also is also senior advisor to Alex Karp, Thiel’s co-founder and CEO of Palantir Technologies, and a fellow Bilderberg Steering Commitee Member. #### **Michael Kratsios** Donald Trump has named Michael Kratsios to serve as science adviser and director of the White House’s Office of Science and Technology Policy. Kratsios was the 1st Trump admin’s policy specialist on artificial intelligence, drones, quantum computing, and cybersecurity. Kratsios worked for two of Peter Thiel’s funds, Thiel Capital and Clarium Capital. It’s abundantly clear that the 2nd Trump administration is stacked with allies of Peter Thiel – the Technocrat and Steering Committee member of the Bilderberg Group. One final point worth noting relates to Palantir’s blind support for Israel and the Zionist cause. #### **Thiel, and Palantir’s Support of Genocide** In November 2023, Palantir issued a letter to shareholders that stressed the company’s support for Israel’s quest to ethnically cleanse Palestinians. _“We are one of a few companies in the world to stand up and announce our support for Israel, which remains steadfast._**_Palantir stands with Israel.”_** Thiel has also made it clear he will not interfere in Israel’s crimes and has no qualms supplying technology which leads to civilian deaths. First, in January 2024 Palantir announced that it had signed a “strategic partnership” with the Israeli Defense Ministry to supply technology for the genocide. In May 2024, protesters accused Thiel of complicity in ‘genocide’, blocking his vehicles for over an hour while he was speaking at the Cambridge Union. Over two hundred students gathered outside the Cambridge Union attempting to “drown out” Thiel’s talk. When Thiel was directly questioned about his support of Israel and their use of AI technology to murder humans, he gave a rambling non-answer. Given that Thiel and company are willing to turn a blind eye to the crimes of Israel, it should come as no surprise that Trump’s 2nd cabinet is stacked with former and current associates of Thiel’s who also share this zeal for Zionism and Technocracy. While these troubling facts may be disturbing to MAGA, these connections need to be questioned. If we are ever to defeat the so-called “deep state” we must commit ourselves to opposing techno-tyranny no matter which political party, politician, or billionaire is promoting it.

Meet the Man Whose Philosophy Has Influenced Peter Thiel and the Technocrats _**By gaining a deeper understanding of the philosophy behind Peter Thiel, we can learn where the second Trump administration is headed.**_ As it becomes clear the acolytes of Technocrat and faux-libertarian Peter Thiel will wield power in the second Trump administration, it is increasingly important to understand some of the influences behind Thiel and his fellow Technocrats. One of the largest influences on Thiel’s thinking is a man named Curtis Yarvin, sometimes known by his pen name Mencius Moldbug. Yarvin and fellow philosopher Nick Land founded the school of thought known as the Dark Enlightenment, or the Neo-Reactionary movement. While Yarvin’s writing and influence has mostly been on the edges of the mainstream, in the last decade his appeal has grown to the point that he is now being interviewed by the NY Times and cited as the philosopher influencing the MAGA movement. #### **A Brief History of Curtis Yarvin’s Ideas** From 2007 to 2014, Yarvin outlined his views of Dark Enlightenment on his blog _Unqualified Reservations_. Specifically, Yarvin has argued that American Democracy has failed and should be replaced by a monarchy with similarities to corporate governance structures. He has called for a “national CEO, [or] what’s called a dictator.” In 2017, _BuzzFeed News_ published an email exchange between Yarvin and Milo Yiannopoulis. In these emails, Yarvin describes watching the results of the 2016 Presidential election with Peter Thiel. “He’s fully enlightened,” Yarvin told Yiannopoulis. “Just plays it very carefully.” Thiel’s venture capital fund, the Founders Fund, also invested in Yarvin’s company Tlön Corp in 2013. I first became aware of Yarvin and his ideas in 2016 when I noticed what was then known as the “Alt-Right” infiltrating American libertarian circles. In my 2017 essay, _Removing the Alt-Right Infection on the American Libertarian Movement_, I detailed what I saw as a pipeline from the the libertarian movement to the alt-right as self-professed libertarians, voluntaryists, and anarchists joined the burgeoning Trump movement. I noted that prominent conservative libertarian theorist Hans Herman Hoppe described the genealogy of the Alt-Right through it’s connection to him and the Property and Freedom Society (which he founded to express his conservative views): _“Many of the leading lights associated with the Alt-Right have appeared here at our meetings in the course of the years. Paul Gottfried, who first coined the term, Peter Brimelow, Richard Lynn, Jared Taylor, John Derbyshire, Steve Sailer and Richard Spencer. As well, Sean Gabb’s name and mine are regularly mentioned in connection with the Alt-Right, and**my work has been linked also with the closely related neo-reactionary movement inspired by Curtis Yarvin (aka Mencius Moldbug) and his now defunct blog Unqualified Reservations.** ”_ I tried (unsuccessfully) to point out these connections to different libertarians and anarcho-capitalists who support Hoppe. They refused to see that the Paleolibertarian movement founded by Murray Rothbard, the founder of American Libertarianism, and Hoppe’s “rational” justifications for this type of thinking influenced thinkers like Curtis Yarvin, who is seen as the pre-Alt-Right neo-reactionary movement. At the time, I noted that Yarvin had been linked to the Trump campaign through Steve Bannon, former chief strategist of Trump’s first administration. Bannon was once influenced by Yarvin but has since soured on him, as well as that of Thiel and Musk. Bannon recently appeared on _The New York Times_ podcast calling out the tech barons for promoting “technofeudalism” and transhumanism. “This thing is all tied together,” he said. “They have a very well thought through philosophy and a very well thought through set of ideas, and they’re trying to implement that. And to me, everybody’s afraid, everybody’s scared because of their power.” While Bannon may be skeptical of Yarvin and the Technocrats, he is no longer part of Trump’s inner circle or the 2nd administration. Meanwhile, Trump’s Vice President J.D. Vance is said to have been influenced by Yarvin. While appearing on the conservative podcast Jack Murphy Live in September 2021, Vance, then a candidate for the Senate in Ohio, called for Trump to return to the White House and “seize the institutions of the left,” fire “every single midlevel bureaucrat” in the US government, “replace them with our people,” and ignore the courts if they try to stop him. Essentially, a counter-revolution by “counter-elites”. “I think that what Trump should do, if I was giving him one piece of advice: Fire every single midlevel bureaucrat, every civil servant in the administrative state, replace them with our people,” Vance said to Jack Murphy. “And when the courts stop you stand before the country, and say ‘the chief justice has made his ruling. Now let him enforce it’.” Who did Vance credit for these ideas? “So there’s this guy, Curtis Yarvin, who has written about some of these things,” he said. Vance elaborated further on his newfound ideals. “I saw and realized something about the American elite, and about my role in the American elite, that took me just a while to figure out. I was redpilled,” the future Vice President stated. > Curtis Yarvin CONFIRMS his close relationship with Marc Andreessen, Peter Thiel and his influence over JD Vance! > > Moldbug claims to be an "outsider" in a NYT interview & DOWNPLAYS his sway on the Trump admin / transition as being through "young staffers"! pic.twitter.com/KS4KGxGUVM > > — Esoteric Shaggyism (@EsoShaggy) January 18, 2025 In a recent interview with Politico, Yarvin detailed his relationship with Vance and Trump official Michael Anton. > _“When I called him up recently to talk about the second Trump administration, Yarvin told me that during his trip to Washington, he had exchanged friendly greetings with Vice President JD Vance — who haspublicly cited his work — had lunch with Michael Anton, a senior member of Trump’s State Department, and caught up with the “revolutionary vanguard” of young conservatives who grew up reading his blogs and are now entering the new administration._ #### **Yarvin’s Influences** Like all philosophers, Curtis Yarvin has taken inspiration from thinkers before him and expanded on their vision for the world. After reading the work of 19th century philosopher Thomas Carlyle, Yarvin came to reject libertarianism as doomed to fail without inclusion of some level of authoritarianism. In 2010 Yarvin wrote: > _“When I went from Misesian to Carlylean, my vision of the ideal state did not change. I, and others like me, want to live and should be able to live in a liberal regime of spontaneous order, which is not planned from above but emerges through the natural, uncontrolled interaction of free human atoms. Hayek in particular, though no Mises, is eloquent here._ > > _What my conversion to the cult of Carlyle has changed—completely—is my understanding of the means by which this free society must be achieved. If it exists, it must be preserved: by any means necessary (as Malcolm X used toput it). If it does not exist? Bueller? Bueller?_ > > _It is easy to see that libertarians have trouble with the means part, because they have never come anywhere close to succeeding.”_ Essentially, Yarvin argues that the libertarian appeal to self-ownership and individual liberty will always fail without some sort of overarching mechanism to enforce order, be that a monarch or a technocrat. His arguments have increasingly held sway as more libertarians (and the population in general) find themselves powerless to fight back against Progressive elites. Many Americans are now hoping to be saved by a “counter-elite” in the form of Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, and Donald Trump. However, when one studies the words of Thomas Carlyle we clearly see what his ideas are capable of creating. Jeffrey Tucker, a long time Libertarian author, theorist, and founder of the Brownstone Institute, wrote about the influence of Carlyle in his 2017 book, _Right-Wing Collectivism: The Other Threat to Liberty_. In a 2016 essay for the Foundation for Economic Education, Tucker outlines the ideas of Carlyle and the danger they pose. He notes that Carlyle’s “great man” theory fits neatly into a call for a strongman to come save the nation from its ills. > _“Have you heard of the “great man” theory of history?,”_ Tucker writes. _“_ _The meaning is obvious from the words. The idea is that history moves in epochal shifts under the leadership of visionary, bold, often ruthless men who marshal the energy of masses of people to push events in radical new directions. Nothing is the same after them.”_ Tucker also quotes directly from Carlyle to show how he supported the idea that the population should bow to these “Great Men” as they take control of the machinery of the state in the name of some greater good: > _“The Commander over Men; he to whose will our wills are to be subordinated, and loyally surrender themselves, and find their welfare in doing so, may be reckoned the most important of Great Men. He is practically the summary for us of all the various figures of Heroism; Priest, Teacher, whatsoever of earthly or of spiritual dignity we can fancy to reside in a man, embodies itself here, to command over us, to furnish us with constant practical teaching, to tell us for the day and hour what we are to do.”_ _The Last American Vagabond_ reached out to Jeffrey Tucker regarding whether or not he has the same concerns for the rise of right-wing collectivism in Trump’s new cabinet. He believes Trump’s current use of executive power has only been to reverse previous executive actions. _“What I had not encountered when I wrote that book was the real and present danger of the existing corporatist state and the incredible presence of administrative agencies that are the real government,”_ Tucker told TLAV. _“The question to ask now is: how precisely is this going to be curbed? It does not just go away given that it has winnowed its way into every aspect of life in all commanding heights. No one has offered a solution beyond platitudes. What I see happening here is the use of power to curb power.”_ Tucker’s statement regarding the use of “power to curb power” is perfectly in line with the thinking of another writer who influenced the technocrats. #### **The Machiavellians and the Counter-Elite** Curtis Yarvin’s thinking was also inspired by James Burnham, author of the 1943 book _The Machiavellians: Defenders of Freedom_. The book takes its title from Niccolò Machiavelli, the Italian diplomat, philosopher, and author of 16th century book, _The Prince_. Michaevelli argued that leaders were justified in committing immoral acts so long as they achieved positive political ends. The book continues to be highly influential and inspired a generation of thinkers known as the Machiavellians. James Burnham believed that the real political battle and progress took place because of the actions of elites in society. Burnham presciently warned that the United States could potentially slip into “democratic totalitarianism” where liberals, progressive, and defenders of Democracy give unlimited power to a centralized government and _“advocate the suppression of the specific institutions and the specific rights and freedoms that still protect the individual from the advance of the unbridled state.”_ _Defenders of Freedom_ greatly influenced Curtis Yarvin, as well as Marc Andreesen, a businessman, former software engineer, and general partner of venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz where he invests in a number of web3 projects. While Andreesen does not hold an official position within the Trump administration, he has described himself as an “unpaid intern” who is helping advise on which personnel should join the 2nd cabinet. In December 2024, Andreessen told the _Honestly with Bari Weiss_ podcast that he had been spending lots of his time at Mar-a-Lago with Trump. _“[I’m there] a fair amount—maybe half my time down there since the election,”_ he stated. _“Look I’m not claiming to be like in the middle of all the decision making but I’ve been trying to help in as many ways as I can. Trump brings out a lot of feelings in a lot of people—people have very strong views—and then there are many political topics that we’re very deliberately not weighing in on.”_ In January, the _Washington Post_ confirmed this as well, reporting that Andreesen had “been quietly and successfully recruiting and interviewing candidates for positions across the incoming administration”. This makes Andreesen’s recent statements on the Lex Fridman podcast regarding his views on the Machiavellians and their relation to Trump’s 2nd term all the more telling. Fridman asked Andreesen to explain his view that humanity always ends up being ruled by “the elite”. Andreesen said the idea comes from the Italian philosopher Robert Michels, which he learned about in _Defenders of Freedom_. _“In the Machiavellians, he resurrects what he calls the sort of Italian realist school of political philosophy from the, from the 10s and 20s. These were people who were trying to understand the actual mechanics of how politics actually works,”_ Andreesen told Fridman. Andreesen explains that Michels believed in something called “the iron law of oligarchy”. _“So the iron law of oligarchy basically says democracy is fake. There’s always a ruling class. There’s always a ruling elite structurally. And he said, the reason for that is because the masses can’t organize, right? What’s the fundamental problem? Whether the mass is 25, 000 people in a union or 250 million people in a country, the masses can’t organize.”_ Instead, Michels and Andreesen argue, since the majority are apparently incapable of organizing there must be a “small, organized elite ruling a large and dispersed majority” _“So as a consequence, democracy is always and everywhere fake. There is always a ruling elite. The lesson of the Machiavellians is you can deny that if you want, but you’re fooling yourself,”_ Andreesen concludes. #### **The Right-Wing Elite vs The Left-Wing Elite** The parallels between Thomas Carlyle’s vision, Curtis Yarvin’s calls for monarchy, The Machiavellian’s support of a counter-elite, Peter Thiel’s support of Yarvin’s ideas, and what we are witnessing with the Technocratic takeover of the U.S. government are obvious to anyone willing to take an honest look. It is this idea of the inevitability of the masses being ruled by the elites which has inspired Andreesen, Curtis Yarvin, Peter Thiel, and other technocrats surrounding Donald Trump. In essence, it is likely they view themselves as the “counter-elite” whose job is to wrestle society away from the grips of the failed, tyrannical Progressive elite. Unfortunately, for the rest of us in “the masses” we are facing a situation where the “Progressive elite” and the “Tech-Bro Populists” BOTH want to create a world run by artificial intelligence, where humans merge with machines, and are under the watch of an all pervasive surveillance state monitored by facial recognition cameras connected to a Smart Grid. Whether it’s the UN and the World Economic Forum, or Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Peter Thiel — both sides are promising they will build a utopian world which will benefit the future of humanity. History is rife with examples of psychotic utopians promising the “Golden Age” while delivering despotic tyranny. Hopefully, the American people have learned the lessons of history and will not be swept up in the hysteria of the moment.

Meet The Peter Thiel Acolytes in Donald Trump’s 2nd Administration <!-- wp:themify-builder/canvas /--> <p><strong><em>As we approach the third week of Donald Trump’s 2nd presidential term, it is once again clear that Peter Thiel is having an outsized influence on the administration.</em></strong></p> <p>Peter Thiel is the infamous co-founder of Palantir, the “private” surveillance firm with a long history of involvement and collaboration with the CIA. Thiel is also a Steering Committee Member of the Bilderberg Group, the infamously secretive group which represents the interests of the hidden ruling class.</p> <p>Now, in the second Trump administration, Thiel’s influence is more visible than ever as numerous associates and acolytes of his are set to play various influential roles.</p><div class="g g-1"><div class="g-single a-11"><a class="gofollow" data-track="MTEsMSwxLDYw" href="https://www.macroaggressions.gold" target="_blank"><img decoding="async" height="373" loading="lazy" src="https://www.activistpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Wise-Wolf-800x373-1.png" width="800"/></a></div></div> <p>I’ve previously reported how Thiel and others in the right-wing of Big Tech decided to go <a href="https://www.thelastamericanvagabond.com/btc-trump-rumble/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">all-in on Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign</a>. They argued that this was a defensive move to protect their industries from the encroachment of the Biden/Harris administration. However, despite the hesitance of many of the Silicon Valley CEO’s to embrace Trump in 2016 and 2020, Thiel has a long history of supporting the two-time president.</p> <p>In 2016, <a href="https://archive.is/XkCGg" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Thiel donated $1.25 million</a> to Donald Trump’s first presidential campaign. Despite claiming to have tired of politics and not publicly supporting Trump in 2020 and 2024, Thiel was absolutely a behind-the-scenes advocate for a 2nd Trump term.</p> <p>While speaking at the All In Summit in early October 2024, Thiel claimed that while he was not donating money to any political candidate, he was still supporting Donald Trump and now-Vice President JD Vance “in every other way possible”.</p> <p>“I am still very strongly pro-Trump, pro-J.D.,” Thiel said.</p> <div class="wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex"> <div class="wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow" style="flex-basis:25%"></div> <div class="wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow" style="flex-basis:50%"> <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-dnt="true" data-width="550"><p dir="ltr" lang="en">Peter Thiel States He Is Still Supporting Donald Trump and JD Vance<br/><br/>While speaking at the All In Summit, Peter Thiel claimed that he is not donating money to any political candidate in 2024, but is still supporting Donald Trump and JD Vance "in every other way possible". <a href="https://t.co/Gt4ak1OIag">pic.twitter.com/Gt4ak1OIag</a></p>— Derrick Broze (@DBrozeLiveFree) <a href="https://twitter.com/DBrozeLiveFree/status/1844736332750586111?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 11, 2024</a></blockquote><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js"></script> </div></figure> </div> <div class="wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow" style="flex-basis:25%"></div> </div> <p>Despite his years long embrace of Donald Trump, it is also worth noting that Thiel collaborated with the Biden administration. In 2021, I reported on how the <a href="https://www.thelastamericanvagabond.com/more-than-40-organizations-call-on-biden-administration-abandon-virtual-wall-immigration-bill/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Biden administration was receiving criticism</a> for continuing Trump’s plans for a border wall in the form of a “virtual” or biometric wall.</p> <p>One of the contractors for the virtual wall was Anduril Industries, founded by Trump donor Palmer Luckey with funding from Peter Thiel. The message was clear — <a href="https://www.thelastamericanvagabond.com/election-2024-technocrats-vs-technocrats/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">whether with Trump, Biden, or Harris</a> the U.S. is getting a biometric surveillance state with Digital IDs.</p> <p>Fast forward to 2025, and now that Trump and Vance are occupying the White House, numerous Thiel-affiliated companies are expected to see a big boost in financial revenue.</p> <p>For example, recently Thiel’s Palantir and Anduril, as well as SpaceX and OpenAI, <a href="https://archive.is/GMWqh" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">announced a partnership</a> on U.S. military contracts. The move marks the latest efforts by the Technocrats to replace the old guard of the Military Industrial Complex — companies like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and Boeing.</p> <p>This article is a brief look at the many Thiel-connected members of President Donald Trump’s 2nd cabinet. This list is not exhaustive and should be updated with time as more disciples of the Thielverse come into play.</p> <h4 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-vice-president-j-d-vance"><strong>Vice President J.D. Vance</strong></h4> <p>Despite not giving directly to the 2024 Trump campaign, Thiel has gained well-deserved scrutiny for his role in financing the rise of Vice President J.D. Vance.</p> <p>Vance, the 40-year-old former Ohio Senator, was in attendance at David Sacks’ June 2024 fundraiser for Trump. Sacks is the partner of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craft_Ventures" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Craft Ventures</a>, the former Chief Operating Officer of PayPal.</p> <p><a href="https://archive.is/KILK8" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">According to “two people with knowledge of the exchange”</a>, during the June event Trump “informally polled the room” regarding who he should choose for his Vice Presidential running mate. David Sacks, Chamath Palihapitiya, and others all told Trump he should choose Vance. Elon Musk also reportedly <a href="https://archive.is/o/KILK8/https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/16/us/politics/trump-vance-vp-decision.html" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">encouraged Trump</a> to pick Vance. A few weeks later at the Republican National Convention that’s exactly what Donald Trump did.</p> <p>Thiel and Vance have an extensive relationship. Vance claims that after hearing Peter Thiel deliver a speech at Yale Law School in 2011 he was inspired to pursue a career in big tech firms. He started as a junior investor with the <a href="https://www.fastcompany.com/91156610/jd-vance-silicon-valley-tech-policies" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Thiel-backed Mithril Capital</a> in 2016.</p> <p>Vance briefly worked at biotechnology firm Circuit Therapeutics, a move which then-CEO Frederic Moll <a href="https://archive.is/KILK8" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">told the NY Times</a> was a “favor to Peter.” In 2019, Vance would found his own venture firm, <a href="https://naryavc.com/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Narya Capital</a>, with financial backing from the former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, the billionaire investor Marc Andreessen, and, of course, Peter Thiel.</p> <p>When Vance announced his run for Ohio Senator, Peter Thiel was there and gave $15 million to the campaign. With this money Vance was able to secure a victory and within two years he was on the way to the White House with the full support of Thiel and other technocrats.</p> <h4 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-elon-musk"><strong>Elon Musk</strong></h4> <p>While Musk is a powerful and influential technocrat in his own right — choosing to maintain a more public personality than that of Thiel — he and Thiel have their own history of collaboration.</p> <p>Elon Musk and Peter Thiel have been friends for more than two decades and both men received massive financial wealth from their co-founding of PayPal. Thiel has also been a prominent investor in Musk’s various ventures, including <a href="https://www.reuters.com/technology/musks-neuralink-raises-280-mln-latest-fundraise-2023-08-07/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Neuralink</a>.</p> <div class="wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-2 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex"> <div class="wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow" style="flex-basis:25%"></div> <div class="wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow" style="flex-basis:50%"> <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-dnt="true" data-width="550"><p dir="ltr" lang="en">People keep saying that X is a "Free Speech" space.<br/><br/>Everyone should know that Elon and X are completely inundated within the Peter Thiel Capital Web. <br/><br/>Elon Musk, first involved with Peter Thiel when his online banking site <a href="https://t.co/01wzux4BwW">https://t.co/01wzux4BwW</a> (not this platform!) was… <a href="https://t.co/QzmZXUh2Xz">pic.twitter.com/QzmZXUh2Xz</a></p>— 7SEES (@7SEES_) <a href="https://twitter.com/7SEES_/status/1854580449336492530?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 7, 2024</a></blockquote><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js"></script> </div></figure> </div> <div class="wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow" style="flex-basis:25%"></div> </div> <p>Musk and Peter Thiel also <a href="https://archive.is/6vyBM" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">co-founded “America PAC”</a> as their vehicle to support Trump’s return to the White House. In July 2024 it was <a href="https://archive.is/o/6vyBM/https://www.wsj.com/politics/elections/elon-musk-has-said-he-is-committing-around-45-million-a-month-to-a-new-pro-trump-super-pac-dda53823" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">initially reported</a> that Musk would invest $45 million a month into the Trump campaign. In the end, Musk would give <a href="https://docquery.fec.gov/cgi-bin/forms/C00879510/1829340/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">nearly $75 million</a> to the PAC.</p> <p>As promised, Trump nominated Musk to lead the <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/establishing-and-implementing-the-presidents-department-of-government-efficiency/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">“Department of Government Efficiency”</a>. While the idea of reducing government waste and increasing efficiency is an appealing proposition, it should also be noted that Musk’s talk of efficiency is reminiscent of the little known Efficiency Movement which predated the more well-known Technocracy movement.</p> <p>The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efficiency_movement" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Efficiency Movement</a> sought to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the economy and society, and to develop and implement “best practices”. Supporters of the movement included Andrew Carnegie and John D. Rockefeller. Rockefeller was a proponent of efficiency, <a href="https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/17090" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">stating</a>, <em>“To help an inefficient, ill-located, unnecessary school is a waste …it is highly probable that enough money has been squandered on unwise educational projects to have built up a national system of higher education adequate to our needs, if the money had been properly directed to that end.”</em></p> <p>Is the goal of Trump and Elon to make government more efficient to serve the people? Or, is the goal to finally fulfill the dream of the original technocrats and eliminate the political and business classes in favor of “machines” (Artificial Intelligence), centrally planning, and managing society? Time will tell.<em></em></p> <h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>David Sacks</strong></h4> <p>David Sacks is most well-known for his involvement in the early days of PayPal, serving as the COO with Thiel as the CEO. He is considered a member of the so-called “PayPal Mafia”, a name given to the founders of PayPal who later founded numerous tech companies, including Tesla, LinkedIn, Palantir Technologies, SpaceX, YouTube, and Yelp.</p> <p>In 1998, Thiel and Sacks co-authored the book, The Diversity Myth: Multiculturalism and Political Intolerance on Campus, arguing that political correctness has harmed the college education system and academia in general. The book expanded on the pair’s writings in The Stanford Review, a student-run newspaper founded by Thiel and Sacks in 1987. Peter Thiel and Sacks would <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20161026000319/http://www.businessinsider.com/peter-thiel-and-david-sacks-apologize-rape-comments-book-2016-10?r=UK&amp;IR=T" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">later apologize</a> for statements made in the book which belittled rape.</p> <p>In June 2024, Sacks and Chamath Palihapitiya hosted a fundraiser for Trump at Sacks’ home in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. The meeting netted the Trump campaign $12 million after Trump reportedly said he would be “<a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-pitches-himself-crypto-president-san-francisco-tech-fundraiser-2024-06-07/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">the crypto president</a>”. It was this dinner where the billionaires told Trump he should choose Vance as his running mate.</p> <p>Shortly after his victory in the 2024 election, Trump rewarded Sacks for his loyalty by <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-appoints-former-paypal-coo-david-sacks-ai-crypto-czar-2024-12-06/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">appointing him as the “AI and Crypto Czar”</a>. In this position Sacks is expected to greatly influence the U.S. government’s policies on cryptocurrency, and the advancement of AI.</p> <h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Howard Lutnick</strong></h4> <p>Howard Lutnick is the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald investment firm and has become a vocal proponent for Bitcoin in the last couple years.</p> <p>Lutnick is also an <a href="https://sfofexposed.org/strive-asset-management/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">investor</a> in anti-ESG <a href="https://strive.com/article/peter_thiels_new_venture_aims_to_lure_companies_away_from_environmental_justice_activism" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Strive Asset Management</a>, which was founded by Vivek Ramaswamy. Peter Thiel, the Founders Fund, and J.D. Vance’s Narya Capital also contributed to Strive’s <a href="https://columbus.org/strive-raises-30-million-in-series-b-funding-round-strive-enterprises-inc/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">$30 million funding round</a>.</p> <p>Lutnick is also a part owner of video platform Rumble, founded by Chris Pavlovski. In December 2021, Pavlovski announced his intention to take Rumble public by combining forces with CF Acquisition Corp, a division of the Lutnick’s Cantor Fitzgerald. The deal was completed by September 2022 with CF Acquisition Corp providing “approximately $400 million in gross proceeds” to help “build out Rumble’s independent infrastructure”.</p> <p><em>“With its massive growth in users and engagement, this is an exciting time for Rumble to become public. I am excited to see ‘RUM’ shares trading in the marketplace,” </em>Lutnick <a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/rumble-completes-business-combination-with-cf-acquisition-corp-vi-301626485.html" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">said at the time of the deal</a>.</p> <p>Following Rumble becoming a publicly traded company, the <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/RUM/holders/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">top institutional share holders include</a> Cantor Fitzgerald, Vanguard Group, BlackRock, State Street, and Rockefeller Capital Management, among others.</p> <p>In August 2024 I reported on Howard Lutnick’s <a href="https://www.thelastamericanvagabond.com/btc-trump-rumble/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">appearance at the 2024 Bitcoin Nashville event</a> and his involvement in the Bitcoin community more broadly. During his own speech at Bitcoin Nashville, Trump called Lutnick <em>“one of the truly brilliant men of Wall Street”</em>. That Trump sees Lutnick — one of the most high profile traders of U.S. debt and a Wall Street regular — as a brilliant man is likely a sign that Wall Street banks will continue to influence U.S. financial policy under Trump’s 2nd administration.</p> <p>Lutnick was also formerly a <a href="https://www.crainsnewyork.com/real-estate/unraveling-web-jeffrey-epsteins-manhattan-real-estate" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">neighbor to Jeffrey Epstein in NYC</a> and raised millions for <a href="https://nypost.com/2015/11/17/clinton-fundraiser-held-next-door-to-jeffrey-epsteins-house/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential campaign</a>.</p> <p>Lutnick has spoken at the World Economic Forum’s various meetings as <a href="https://www3.weforum.org/docs/financial_services_governors_report_2016.pdf" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">far back as 2016</a> and as <a href="https://www3.weforum.org/docs/WEF_AM23_Preliminary_Programme.pdf" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">recently as January 2023</a>. At the 2023 WEF meeting in Davos, Switzerland, Lutnick participated in a panel titled, <a href="https://www.weforum.org/events/world-economic-forum-annual-meeting-2023/sessions/real-estate-at-a-turning-point/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Real Estate at a Turning Point</a>.</p> <p>Another interesting facet of Lutnick’s personal story is that Cantor Fitzgerald’s offices were located in the 101st to the 105th floors of One World Trade Center. The firm lost 658 of its 960 employees due to the terrorist attack. However, Lutnick <a href="https://nymag.com/nymetro/news/sept11/features/5486/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">happened to be accompanying his wife</a> as she took their son to his first day of kindergarten.</p> <h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Jim O’Neill</strong></h4> <p>Donald Trump has appointed Jim O’Neill as deputy secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). O’Neill has extensive connections and collaborations with Peter Thiel.</p> <p>O’Neill worked at two of Peter Thiel’s funds, Clarium Capital and Mithril Capital Management from 2012 to 2019. In 2010, he co-founded <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Thiel" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Peter Thiel</a>‘s Thiel Fellowship. He also worked as the CEO of the Thiel Foundation from 2009 to 2012.</p> <p>From 2019 to July 2021, O’Neill was the CEO of SENS Research Foundation, an organization focused on “rejuvenation”. The SENS received its initial <a href="https://www.sens.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/SENS-Research-Foundation-2019-Annual-Report.pdf" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">funding from Peter Thiel in 2006 and 2008</a>, a fact that should come as no surprise given Thiel’s own interest in fighting aging <a href="https://www.inc.com/jeff-bercovici/peter-thiel-young-blood.html" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">using the blood of the young</a>.</p> <p>Whitney Webb recently wrote a <a href="https://unlimitedhangout.com/2025/01/investigative-reports/thiel-linked-hhs-nominee-threatens-maha-ambitions-with-biotech-stance/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">detailed investigation</a> further outlining O’Neill’s connections to Thiel and how his appointment might be used to stifle Robert F. Kennedy Jr. if his nomination is confirmed in the coming weeks.</p> <h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Ken Howery</strong></h4> <p>Trump named Ken Howery as his pick for U.S. ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark. Howery previously served as a U.S. ambassador to Sweden, and Trump wrote that he “served our Nation brilliantly” in that role.</p> <p>The connections between Howery, Peter Thiel, and the World Economic Forum run deep. Apparently, Trump sees those connections as a net positive.</p> <p>Howery was another PayPal co-founder with Thiel. The pair also co-founded the venture capital fund Founders Fund.</p> <p>In March 2012, the WEF named Howery a member of the <a href="https://www.younggloballeaders.org/community/?utf8=%E2%9C%93&amp;q=+howery&amp;x=0&amp;y=0&amp;status=&amp;class_year=&amp;sector=Business&amp;region=#results" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Young Global Leader</a> program. He is also a member of the Selection Committee for the World Economic Forum Technology Pioneers Program.</p> <p>Howery may have been selected for the role of ambassador to Denmark to help Trump fulfill his goal of <a href="https://www.thelastamericanvagabond.com/israel-global-north-american-union/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">annexing Greenland</a>. Denmark has administrative control over Greenland as part of its kingdom. Interestingly, Trump’s calls for purchasing Greenland and making it part of the United States mirrors the original Technocrats <a href="https://bostonraremaps.com/inventory/technocracy-inc-technate-of-america-1940/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">plan for the “Technate of America”</a>, including Canada and Panama as well.</p> <h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Jacob Helberg</strong></h4> <p>Jacob Helberg was appointed to be undersecretary of state for economic growth, energy and the environment. Helberg donated $2 million to Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.</p> <p>He is an <a href="https://www.jns.org/trump-nominee-for-economic-role-is-jewish-pro-israel-author-national-security-adviser/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">ardent supporter of Israel</a> and a former supporter of Democrats who has said his shift to Trump was a result of <a href="https://jewishinsider.com/2024/05/silicon-valley-donor-jacob-helberg-biden-trump-anti-israel-left/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Democrats becoming “anti-Israel”</a>. While the Democrats also support Israel and generally vote to give the nation unlimited funding and weapons stockpiles, Helberg believes they are not sufficiently obedient.</p> <div class="wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-3 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex"> <div class="wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow" style="flex-basis:25%"></div> <div class="wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow" style="flex-basis:50%"> <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-dnt="true" data-width="550"><p dir="ltr" lang="en">This one’s for Israel. 🇮🇱 🇺🇸 <a href="https://t.co/YR1lb0aM9Y">https://t.co/YR1lb0aM9Y</a></p>— Jacob Helberg (@jacobhelberg) <a href="https://twitter.com/jacobhelberg/status/1790720385874305263?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 15, 2024</a></blockquote><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js"></script> </div></figure> </div> <div class="wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow" style="flex-basis:25%"></div> </div> <p>Helberg is also a senior adviser to Palantir Technologies, the private surveillance firm co-founded by Peter Thiel. Helberg also is also senior advisor to Alex Karp, Thiel’s co-founder and CEO of Palantir Technologies.</p> <h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Michael Kratsios</strong></h4> <p>Donald Trump has named Michael Kratsios to serve as science adviser and director of the White House’s Office of Science and Technology Policy. Kratsios also served in the role in the first Trump White House and the Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. Kratsios led the 1st Trump admin’s policy specialist on artificial intelligence, drones, quantum computing, and cybersecurity.</p> <p>Kratsios worked for two of Peter Thiel’s funds, Thiel Capital and Clarium Capital.</p> <h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Vivek Ramaswamy</strong></h4> <p>Although Vivek Ramaswamy is no longer involved in DOGE, he is still in Trump’s orbit and has <a href="https://archive.is/TaAVJ" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">announced a run for Governor of Ohio</a>. It would not be surprising to see Peter Thiel invest in his political campaign. Thiel previously invested in Ramaswamy’s fund, Strive Asset Management.</p> <h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Other Influential Thiel Acolytes</strong></h4> <p>Trae Stephens is a partner at venture capital firm <a href="https://foundersfund.com/team/trae-stephens/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Founders Fund</a>, which was organized by Peter Thiel, Ken Howery, and Luke Nosek in early 2005. Stephens is also the co-founder and chair of Anduril Industries, which was funded by Peter Thiel. Finally, Stephens worked for Thiel’s Palantir Technologies. According to <a href="https://archive.is/ILkl5" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Bloomberg</a>,Trump and his team have consulted with Trae Stephens.</p> <p>Politico has also <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/12/10/silicon-valley-takes-over-pentagon-00193576" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">previously reported</a> that Shyam Sankar, current Palantir chief technology officer, has been considered for the Pentagon’s top research and engineering job.</p> <p>Finally, Blake Masters, who worked for Thiel Capital and for the Thiel Foundation, was <a href="https://archive.is/8cche" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">reportedly up for nomination</a> as Trump’s head of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) at one point.</p> <h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Alex Karp – The Other Palantir Founder &amp; Bilderberg Member</strong></h4> <p>Alex Karp is the co-founder of <a href="https://www.thelastamericanvagabond.com/palantir-gaza-yemen-openai-icj/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Palantir</a> Technologies Inc. Karp co-founded Palantir with fellow technocrat Peter Thiel with the assistance of <a href="https://archive.is/nuK99" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">two rounds of investment from CIA’s venture capital firm In-Q-Tel.</a></p> <p>Karp is also a steering committee member of the Bilderberg Group.</p> <p>While Karp has mostly stayed out of politics in the public sphere, in 2024 he <a href="https://archive.is/R4oLt" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">told the NYT</a> that he was now supporting Kamala Harris. While Karp has traditionally supported Progressive politicians and described himself as a radical leftist, and Thiel has supported Conservative politicians, both men are now united in the support of the Trump administration.</p> <p>While there may be real political differences between Karp and Thiel, there is not daylight between the two when it comes to Technocratic solutions. Karp recently told Fox Business how Palantir is ready and willing to help make the U.S. government “more efficient”.</p> <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> <div class="post-video"><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="655" loading="lazy" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/9ldE_5F13eg?feature=oembed" title="Palantir CEO Alex Karp on Software’s Role in Government Efficiency | Fox Business" width="1165"></iframe></div> </div></figure> <h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Karp, Thiel, and Palantir’s Support of Genocide</strong></h4> <p>Karp is also an open advocate for supporting the Zionist movement. Researcher James Corbett <a href="https://corbettreport.substack.com/p/buying-politicians-is-easy" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">recently noted</a> that,<em> “in November of last year, Palantir issued a <a href="https://www.palantir.com/q3-2023-letter/en/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">letter to shareholders</a> that stressed the company’s support for Israel’s quest to ethnically cleanse Palestinians.”</em></p> <p><em>“We are one of a few companies in the world to stand up and announce our support for Israel, which remains steadfast,”</em> Karp wrote in the letter. <strong><em>“Palantir stands with Israel.”</em></strong></p> <p>Thiel has also made it clear he will not interfere in Israel’s crimes and has no qualms supplying technology which leads to civilian deaths. First, in January 2024 Palantir announced that it had signed a “<a href="https://archive.is/zVUJn" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">strategic partnership</a>” with the Israeli Defense Ministry to supply technology for the genocide.</p> <p>In May 2024, protesters accused Thiel of complicity in ‘genocide’, <a href="https://www.varsity.co.uk/news/27574" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">blocking his vehicles for over an hour</a> while he was speaking at the Cambridge Union. Over two hundred students gathered outside the Cambridge Union attempting to “drown out” Thiel’s talk.</p> <p>When Thiel was directly questioned about his support of Israel and their use of AI technology to murder humans, <a href="https://x.com/TLAVagabond/status/1889024585271488733" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">he gave a rambling non-answer</a>.</p> <blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow"> <p><em>“Look again . . . It’s not for us to to second-guess every, everything. And I believe that broadly <strong>the IDF gets to decide what it wants to do, and that they’re broadly in the right</strong> and that’s, that’s sort of the perspective I come back to.”</em></p> </blockquote> <div class="wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-4 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex"> <div class="wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow" style="flex-basis:25%"></div> <div class="wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow" style="flex-basis:50%"> <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-dnt="true" data-width="550"><p dir="ltr" lang="en">When Thiel was asked about <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Palantir?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Palantir</a> using its artificial intelligence to help the IDF commit genocide: <a href="https://t.co/UCnXCNIu4h">https://t.co/UCnXCNIu4h</a> <a href="https://t.co/BhPh9LVBca">pic.twitter.com/BhPh9LVBca</a></p>— The Last American Vagabond (@TLAVagabond) <a href="https://twitter.com/TLAVagabond/status/1889024585271488733?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 10, 2025</a></blockquote><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js"></script> </div></figure> </div> <div class="wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow" style="flex-basis:25%"></div> </div> <p>Given that Karp and Thiel are willing to turn a blind eye to the crimes of Israel, it should come as no surprise that Trump’s 2nd cabinet is stacked with former and current associates of Thiel’s who also share this zeal for Zionism and Technocracy.</p> <h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Who’s Behind Peter Thiel?</strong></h4> <p>Now that we understand the depths at which Peter Thiel’s influence can be seen and felt in the Trump administration, we must ask — who exactly is influencing Peter Thiel’s actions and thinking?</p> <p>In my next article I will dive deeper into the role that Curtis Yarvin aka Mencius Moldbug has played in influencing Peter Thiel and the MAGA movement in general. While the majority of Trump supporters and mainstream Republicans might not be aware of the philosophy of this man, his thinking continues to inspire and inform the actions of the Technocrats like Peter Thiel, J.D. Vance, and Marc Andreesen.</p>
