anfang november 1860 verhandelten der #schweiz er bundespräsident und vertreter der kantone #Tessin und #Graubünden mit dem päpstlichen geschäftsträger über die trennung des Tessins und von #Poschiavo und #Brusio vom bistum Como und dem erzbistum Mailand.

The Landwasserviadukt - a bridge taking the train straight into a tunnel on the side of a mountain. Picture taken from an open window in the train, locomotive and one carriage in front.

The Brusio spiral viaduct, where the tracks curve under themselves. I'm in the middle carriage of the three-car EMU, picture from an open window towards the front of the train on top of the viaduct.

Looking at the back of the train, the last cars are the Bernina Express panorama cars and just over the part where the train will soon go under the viaduct. A total of seven cars behind the EMU.

And of course we went over #Landwasserviadukt. Always as breathtaking! Changing trains at St Moritz allowed for a coffee break before the #Berninabahn. An #Allegra EMU took us and a rake of older cars over the Bernina pass and the #Brusio spiral viaduct to Tirano in Italy. A lovely day on trains!
