We got back from #butserancientfarm too late to visit the #winchastercathedral but as we were lamenting outside we were approached by a member of #fulltoneorchestra - they were playing a concert there in an hour! It was magical and such an experience #uk #travel #thewayfaringpath #winchester

View from a historical replica of a Roman Villa garden through an archway with vines growing up them towards a yellow crushed stone path. The path wends through green grass and leads to iron age round houses built as part of a living archaeology museum with thatched roofs and wattle and daub walls. In the distance behind the houses are trees and hillside with ancient breed sheep.

The photo shows a strong contrast between darkness and bright light. Taken from inside an iron age roundhouse built as it was believe to have done originally, the red embers of a fire glow in the center of the room. Above the fire is a black rectangular metal frame from which a black pot hangs above the fire to heat water. The frame and pot are visible a silhouette against the bright white light at the open doorway. Also in the doorway are 2 people, one stood, one sat, both in black outline against the light outside. A pall of grey blue smoke can be just made out rising from the fire.
