I think #ButtonGate is mostly a nothing burger, but it's the second big failure for Carney as a leader. He needs to learn to tear off the bandaid right away-- "you're fired". Oh yeah, all the growing abhorrent hate from the Cons since Harper was voted out, and yep, #Buttongate will be the hill the Cons die on.

But not a peep about security clearances, his in-laws, leadership cheating, foreign interference, convoy photos, misogynistic behaviour, MapleTrump...

The CPC uses divisive and cruel rhetoric to drive up fear and rage to rally their base. The base mirrors this cruel and divisive behaviour by defacing and destroying yard signs, waving "Fuck Trudeau" flags and general dankness on social media. Meanwhile, #ButtonGate will be the focus at the debates
