On Feb 20, Dr. Fred visited Busingye group in #Bwindi Impenetable National Park, Uganda. This large group comprises of 17 mountain gorillas: 1 #silverback (Mutatina, pictured), 1 blackback, 6 adult females, 3 sub-adult females, and 6 infants. All members of the group appeared to be in good health.
On February 21, Dr. Nelson checked on #Kutu group in #Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda. The group is composed of 10 members, currently led by 11-year-old blackback Bindeeba (pictured) ever since the 2023 passing of #silverback Ndugu.
