Kicked off the simulated AOC brigade road move this morning. Student commanders were at the wheel & several interesting tactical scenarios unfolded for them.

Again, many great learning moments throughout the day.

Exciting day for us at #CACSC as the first student Brigade Commanders were assigned & began receiving the first briefs from their staffs for Brigade Exercise 2 of #AOC

It has been great seeing them continue to hone their tactical planning skills!

We wrapped up a rigorous week at #CACSC #AOC with lessons that resonate beyond the course. As we strengthen our defense tactics through simulation, we were reminded that the @eFPBGLatvia is doing it real time daily to bolster our contribution to @NATO's collective security goals.

Our first brigade exercise of this #AOC is complete.

Lots of planning, executing, and most importantly learning occurred.

We spent yesterday attriting our simulated enemy. Today we will destroy them in our main defensive area.

It has been awesome to see our students learn how to concurrently fight a battle and plan the next step. They are really coming along.

Started off the Brigade Module of #AOC this week with a Brigade crossing exercise.

Today the students conducted a Combined Arms Rehearsal for the mission. They have come a long way since their initial CARs early in the course.

Fun day getting into our first simulated exercise. Today, the students gave orders to and conducted a Combined Arms Rehearsal with the role players acting as their sub-unit commanders.

Tomorrow they will fight their simulated operation!

The estimate exam is underway!

Orders dropped at 0800 and now the students have 8hrs to conduct their analysis.

I’m looking forward to see what they produce. I’m not looking forward to the hours of grading ahead of me, starting tonight.
