By 3:00pm, we'd made it back to Paris Gare du Nord. And just an hour later, we were sat in our seats on Eurostar 9043, ready to leave. 🇫🇷👋
Anyway, that's it! That's the end of Day 5 of 5. ✅ In total, I walked 6 miles (12,059 steps) and took 281 photos. THE END! 😅

From the south entrance of Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station, we took the RER back to the Moxy, a journey of about 15 minutes. 🚉
Once there, a member of staff retrieved our two suitcases from the luggage room, and kindly filled up our bottle with cold water. 🧳💧☺️

My favourite thing about this trip was experiencing all of the changes in the parks since our last visit (in April 2022). 🤓

I thought the two performers playing Mary and Bert were jolly good. They were charming and faithful to the characters in the film. 💖
Watching them interact with guests put a smile on my face. I almost contemplated shaking Bert's hand... but I didn't. 🤝🙈

At 1:26pm, we managed to catch Mary Poppins and the Pearly Band, at Town Square Gazebo. ☂️👜🪁
It's a 16 minute show, with five musicians. I love live music in the parks, and it was especially great to hear them playing songs from Mary Poppins Returns! 🎺🎻❤️

On our way out, I took some photos of the Kiri wall art at the back of the restaurant. 🖼️
Clearly a lot of work went into it, but I'm not a fan of the fake history of a brand that launched in 1966, presented alongside real historical items. 🤷🏻♂️

The Eclair Tartlet looked quite pretty. The pastry tasted nice and I enjoyed the piped meringue peaks and white chocolate butterfly. 💖
But overall I found it too sweet and wouldn't have it again. The raspberry coulis inside was too wet and gooey for me. 👎

I really liked the Golden Gate Cheesecake. The Kiri cheese worked better with it than some of the other items. It was yummy. 😋
The Presidio Muffin was very fluffy and seemed freshly baked. The dark chocolate contrasted nicely with the vanilla sponge.

At 12:42pm, we entered Cable Car Bake Shop. It was really quiet inside, so I managed to get a booth table yet again. 😀
We intentionally didn't have any desserts at Pizzeria Bella Notte, leaving us space to try a few more Kiri sweet treats. 🍰🧁

I'm not a fan of upcharges at DLP, but I think it would be great if the balcony above Victoria's was used for a Disney Tales of Magic "Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience". 🧁🎆

The Lady & The Tramp spaghetti with veal meatballs was much better than I was expecting. It was delicious and easily one of my favourite meals of our trip! 🍝😋
We also shared a side order of garlic butter bread, which was quite good, nice and fluffy. 🥖👍

The doors to the Luca-inspired dining room were open, but it was roped off. They only let you in if you've bought food. ✋
I thought the nautical theming, with all of its props, was fantastic. It was charming and had a "Disneyland" feel to it. ⚓️🛟💙

I was worried about riding Hyperspace Mountain again, fearing that it would now be too rough for me. 😬
While it was very intense, I actually really enjoyed it! I was screaming "oh my god" and "sh*t" a lot, and was laughing by the end of it. 🎢😂

After about 15 minutes, Soda Ray (the chief mechanic) invited us to step a little closer to the BDX droids, to take "image scans" with our devices. 📸
So I got some nice shots of Orange posing for me. I never imagined I'd get that close to the droids! 😀

The BDX droids were so alive and endearing, their characters so strong, that I completely forgot about the NVIDIA AI technology behind them. 😍
And that's exactly what Disney is all about, using technology in service of story. It was classic Disney magic! 🙌

In October 2023, La Tanière du Dragon was updated with UV paint that reacts to blacklight projectors. 🐉
I was expecting to see a "magical effect" with some colours on the dragon's head, but it was just a subtle highlight at certain angles. 🤷🏻♂️

The living room is my favourite area of the treehouse, decorated with items salvaged from the family's shipwreck. ⛵️
The lively music heard is of course "Swisskapolka" which, in the 1960 film, Mother Robinson plays to entertain her family. 🎹

With such nice weather, at 10:12am we decided to climb the 176 stairs of La Cabane des Robinson. 🌳
This 27-metre tall treehouse features detailed rooms built on four levels and was inspired by a banyan tree, a type of fig tree native to India. 🇮🇳🤓
