Book 7/50

I'm enjoying the Glass Library series. CJ Archer writes fun stories with likeable characters. (Willie is my favorite).
The mystery is just a small part of the overall book, but I like it.

For as much as I enjoy murder mysteries I sure do suck at solving them 😅 the guy I suspected of being the killer turned out to just be your garden variety a-hole, and the OTHER a-hole was the killer 🤷🏻‍♀️ still this series is very fun and I’ll definitely keep reading #TheUntitledBooks #CJArcher #Booksky

I’m really enjoying the Glass Library series. I love the vibe, real world magical, and this mystery (stolen book) is fun. The bigger story is developing too - I suspect the fiancée’s parents of war profiteering but that’ll be in the next book no doubt #TheMediciManuscript #CJArcher #Fantasy #Booksky

Y’all this was lovely and I’m immediately starting book two. The setting is cool - it’s post war England but where magic is commonplace. The mystery is very twisty turny and I love the characters. I WISH HE WASN’T ENGAGED THO 😭 #TheLibrarianOfCrookedLane #CJArcher #PeriodFiction #Fantasy #Booksky

Bookworm In Space's review of Murder at the Dressmaker's Salon (Cleopatra Fox, #4) 5/5: Another fabulous mystery from C.J. Archer! Murder at the Dressmaker’s Salon is so sharp, it slices through alibis like shears through silk. Secrets? Plenty. Lies? More than a debutante’s diary....

Bookworm In Space's review of The Librarian of Crooked Lane (Glass Library, #1) 5/5: I picked up The Librarian of Crooked Lane because it had “library” in the title. I’m weak, I’ll judge a book by its Dewey Decimal appeal. This quick, clever fantasy is like Sherlock if Watson wer...

Bookworm In Space's review of Murder at the Piccadilly Playhouse (Cleopatra Fox, #2) 5/5: Cleo Fox returns because murder demands a sequel. When a famous actress meets her final curtain in what’s officially ruled a suicide, Cleo smells foul play quicker than an understudy senses a lead actor’s cold coming on. Archer blends Downton Abbey elegance with Clue worthy twists, elevating the cozy mystery beyond tea trays and into territory where charm has claws. Cleo navigates Edwardian society with wit as sharp as a hatpin and instincts quicker than a dropped curtain. Smart, sassy, and gloriously unputdownable. My cat read over my shoulder and gave it five stars—then demanded a role ...

“Pride isn’t a bad thing, Miss Fox.”
“It is when it gets in the way.”
“In the way of what?” ...

Started reading CJ Archer’s Glass Library series this morning. Which I didn’t realize had a connection to the Glass and Steele series, despite the obvious inclusion of *Glass* in the titles. Me: “Why do these side characters seem so familiar?” (rolls eyes at self) #GlassLibrary #CJArcher #booksky

Read the first two books of CJ Archer’s Cleopatra Fox series and while I miss the magical world of Glass and Steel/Glass library, I still enjoyed them very much.
