The bilateral and earmarked donations via #COVAX were criticised for being used to promote Danish #asylum and foreign policy interests. Contributions were strategically earmarked for regions like North Africa, Small Island Developing States, and selected African countries.

Why would we prefer to send some vaccines with a Global North flag to the South as charitable donations when #covax could have worked, and at lower costs and higher health benefits? Some humans in powerful positions are crazy (not @rebeccabrown_ 's words, my own interpretation).
