Regarding #Tesla, the #CPFB has been a thorn in the man-baby's side. And not only for cars, but solar roof installs. Highly aggressive collection practices, loan terms changing, unstated fees, etc).
The paralysis of the #CFPB under Musk this year was no accident.
Why are car salesmen some of the slimiest people? Because the #CPFB auto dealer exemption allowed them to continue to rip off consumers with unnecessary sales tactics (gap insurance, "leather/paint/window protectant layer", hidden fees, so called "dealer delivery" charge, etc).
This is exactly why Obama created the #CPFB. Even though the National Auto Dealers Association (massive lobbyist!) carve out an exception.
And it's why it was Musk's top priority with DOGE was to dismantle the #CPFB (Tesla death lawsuits).
Now, like the EPA, it only serves corporate interests.
