#OTD April 2nd, 2018, @esa @ASIM_Payload was launched from Cape Canaveral 22:30:38 CEST aboard the @SpaceX #CRS14 #Falcon9 and #Dragon. For a year, @ASIM_Payload has provided insight into atmospheric discharges, e.g. sprites, blue jets, and terrestrial gamma ray flashes.

#CRS14 will use a flight-proven F9 (B1039.2) lofting a previously flown Dragon capsule (C110.2). Total of 2,647 kg of upmass to @Space_Station, of which 1,721 kg is pressurized cargo, while 926 kg is unpressurized and located in the trunk section of the Dragon. @ASIM_Payload

7 days and counting on http://asim.dk It is 22.30 CEST, 4.30 PM eastern, and the launch of #CRS14 and @ASIM_Payload is exactly one week away on April 2nd.
The #CRS14 launch is all about reusability. @SpaceX first stage flew August 14, 2017 on #CRS12 and the Dragon capsule April 8 to May 11, 2016, on #CRS8. The @ASIM_Payload ISS adapter (FRAM) flew on the EuTEF mission October 2007 to October 2009.

Preparations for #CRS14 launch are on-going. One week from now, March 12, @ASIM_Payload is going into the Dragon trunk at @SpaceX PPF, Cape Canaveral. Payload preps will be done March 9.
