A bright mountain meadow filled with colorful wildflowers under a blue sky with soft clouds, mountains in the distance. Overlaid text reads: “But most of us seem to find it difficult to recognize the greatness and wonder of things familiar to us.” Below the quote is the name “Charles Sanders Peirce.” At the bottom left is the Humanism Church logo with the words “HUMANISM CHURCH.” At the bottom right is the text “humanism.church.”

We can close ourselves off unintentionally from the natural beauty that surrounds us, especially when it becomes familiar to us. Remain open to wonder and beauty. If you can appreciate it every day, make a point to. #Humanism #Philosophy #CSPeirce #HumanismChurch

Dan Everett writing a biography on C. S. Peirce does not surprise me: Peirce's semiotic theory is probably the most significant possible challenger to Chomskyan thought about language. I would recommend reading Peirce. #cspeirce

Started following a bunch of people. Semiotics starts showing up on my feed. Hell yeah. I literally cannot stop talking about C. S. Peirce. #linguistics #semiotics #cspeirce

I see lessons here for almost every field of endeavor: sports, arts, etc. You begin with what attracts your curiosity; you play (what #CSPeirce calls “musement”); you then practice and build skills; and all of this circles back to “play,” to the “playground”… to joy.
