Safety We are a peaceful community and peaceful protestors. We have been safe and peaceful all these weeks (years in fact) and the NM Police have been supportive of our First Amendment right to protest. If you ever feel threatened or unsafe, the NMPD have asked us to call 911 - but please find an organizer and tell us that you called 911! We have some peacekeeper volunteers assigned to help out. Stay at least 5’ off the curb for our safety and the safety of vehicular traffic, per NM Police. Do not block sidewalks or traffic - this violates our right to protest. When the haters yell at us, we DO NOT YELL BACK. No heckling. We are better than them. When they direct their hate at us, we ignore or give them the peace sign. WE ARE THE PATRIOTS! Do not engage. Do not curse. Do not give them a reason to see and film anything but peaceful protest. Have your phone ready to take videos of any aggression against us. Situational awareness! What are the side streets? What direction is North? What obstacles are in the way if you had to move quickly? Where are the NM police positioned? Is there an aggressive or suspicious person lurking about? Tell a peacekeeper or the police. If you feel ever threatened or have a medical emergency, call 911 and tell us you called 911.
