With support from Dumfries and Galloway Poverty and Inequalities Policy Development Funding, two of the region’s community transport operators helped people attend nearly 900 healthcare appointments last year.

Community transport is about people as much as it is vehicles. It supports independence, builds friendships and strengthens communities.

#CTWeek25 celebrates how when we help people move, we help communities thrive 👥

Disabled people built the first Dial-a-Ride services, fought for accessible buses and founded Transport for All.

Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins kicks off Community Transport Week which celebrates those who provide this essential service for people facing mobility challenges or lacking access to traditional transport.
