A CAL FIRE core objective is to contain 95% of all wildfires at 10 acres or less. Tuesday’s stop on the #CacheFire off HWY 20 east of Clearlake Oaks showed how a coordinated air and ground attack allowed us to meet that initial attack strategy. It was held to 9.75 acres.

#CacheFire UPDATE: Forward progress of the fire has been stopped and it’s been mapped at 9.75 acres. The fire is now 20 percent contained. Crews will remain at scene for the next several hours working on containment lines and mopping up.

#CacheFire: CAL FIRE is responding to a vegetation fire near the Cache Creek Bridge on HWY 20 east of Clearlake Oaks. Per Boggs Copter 612 at scene, the fire is approximately five acres in brush with multiple spot fires. CAL FIRE is augmenting its dispatch with additional air and ground resources.
