2 year ago, we lost #CaleYarborough. His death was a sad lost for #NASCAR and ended 2023 on a sore note.

46 years ago, the 1979 #Daytona500 took place. It was the 1st 500 to be televised live from beginning to end. #RichardPetty would win his 6th 500 and 186th win after when #DonnieAllison & #CaleYarborough wrecked in turn 3 on the final lap which resulted into a fight with #BobbyAllison joining in.
