Vertically-oriented photo of colorful geology in the Sierra Nevada. A mountain stream flows in an almost treeless canyon. Foreground rocks are gray limestone. The talus slope on creek right is gray, but on creek left orange talus leads up to a very colorful set of cliffs (metamorphic roof pendant) exposing folded bands of vivid orange, gray and cream-colored stone. The creek is flowing towards a hazy valley just visible to the right, while the sky above is deep blue with just a few small puffy white clouds.
#RockinTuesday Instead of the detail shots, this week lets go with a BIG outcrop!
