The reason is to avoid vote-splitting on the Left. You might think that would always be a problem with so many left wing parties but only the Liberals have formed the Government. Sometimes the Liberals need another party to pass laws. It's usually the NDP. (2/2)

My wife and I proudly voted today for the NDP. For Americans reading this, that's the New Democratic Party, 1 of 3 left wing parties, or 4 if you're in Quebec. There's been a lot of pressure to vote for the Liberals even if you support another party on the Left. (1/2)

The Atlantic ran an article today entitled “America’s Mad King.” The French Leaders debate focused on dealing with Trump several times—comments were universally weak. Nobody, including Americans, know what to do.

But. My favorite moment last night:
