A company hoping to build a #CarbonDioxidePipeline wants a court to disqualify a South Dakota regulator from considering the project’s permit application, due to an alleged conflict of interest.
So a company who has never built any pipeline claims to be able to build the safest one ever. Glad to see South Dakotans calling Summit out at SD PUC meetings. www.sdpb.org/business-eco... #pipeline #CO2 #carbondioxidepipeline
Hundreds of people, many of them opponents of a #CarbonDioxidePipeline, filled an auditorium in Sioux Falls for a hearing on a second attempt by #SummitCarbonSolutions to gain a South Dakota permit for the project. https://buff.ly/40fRHnP

South Dakota regulators will charge a #CarbonDioxidePipeline company up to $876,000 to help cover the cost of evaluating its new permit application. #SummitCarbonSolutions already paid a $592,500 filing fee for a previously rejected application.
So the ND PUC receives the plume modeling information, but not the other parties in the case? These are impacted people & they don't even get access to this crucial info? Let alone the general public. Yet another reason why people are mad about Summit's #carbondioxidepipeline #transparency
