From this past month I have been studying and practicing to draw Care Bears and this was one of the many line arts I did and it's the first time I've put it to color and finished one of them in full, so this is a prototype. I looked at all the different styles from the past years to current and tried to pick one that I'm particular with, and I sort of combined the current version with the classic. I debated if I wanted to put the round cheeks in, and it just didn't look right, but that's fine because I'm still practicing. I guess the particular lines I did for it just didn't look right. I want to start making fan art of these characters in the proper way because I'm sick and tired of seeing "slop"β(NOT AI SLOP) but like crappy memes and crappy MS Paint edit jobs and the weird fetish art. But don't get me wrong; there are a couple of great art pieces scattered here and there, and I would like to contribute and finally give these characters justice with actual fan art. By no means am I not going to make MLP fan art anymore. Good God, no, I just want to make something different that is not the same thing over and over. You don't want to feel like a one-hit wonder, you know? They will always be part of me. I just want these Bears to be part of it too. Besides I have always had a soft spot for them.
