Today also marks the day I've hit my initial goal for #CareacterPackage, and I got to fill in another space on my yearly bingo card! I'm so proud of myself, I was genuinely nervous I wouldn't make myself stick with it, but I did, and I'm still going strong.

This week is @awamboldtart.bsky.social 's Rivière! Seeing your work lightens up my timeline, every little bit of lore and design is awesome~ Also, thank you for inspiring me to keep working on my own original projects, even during times like these.
I hope I did Rivière justice!!

Introducing #CareacterPackage - A hashtag designed for the "Fanart Friday" I've been musing about! This panel features a picture of a pencil with a red gift ribbon around it.
What is #CareacterPackage? #CareacterPackage is a portmanteau of “Character” and “Care Package” – and it’s meant to be exactly what it sounds like. It’s a gift to bring someone a bit of joy. It’s the extra reminder that we don’t have to wait for the right time to spread some love. It’s a no strings attached way of expressing your admiration. How do I participate? All you have to do is create art of someone’s character and post it with the hashtag #CareacterPackage. It goes without saying that you should do your due diligence when representing someone else’s work: respect an artist’s restrictions and permissions regarding their OCs if you’d like to participate. There is also no expectation around the favor being returned in any fashion. This is meant to be a gift made with care, after all! #CareacterPackage is not meant to have a schedule. I want to make regular posts on Fridays, but maybe you’d like to post your work on Tuesdays. Maybe this is something you do over the course of a week, a month, a season; whatever works best! When you’re ready to join the conversation, all you have to do is use the hashtag.
A Message from the Artist: I made this hashtag to make sure I took time out of my busy life to do something creative, something kind, something fun, and something I've been putting off. We all need some joy in our lives, especially right now. I want to be someone who spreads that joy. I plan to be a bit ambitions and post twice a month on Friday evenings in February, March, and April. By May I might consider winding down to once a month. This is also with the caveat that, at any point, I can take a break for my own health if I need. Which is all in the spirit of the hashtag! Ultimately, I'll draw when I'm inspired. I hope I get to see what inspires you as well! The bottom of the panel features a doodle of me drawing at my laptop. I want to wish everyone Happy Arting!
Tomorrow I'm starting something new and exciting! #CareacterPackage - take a look at the info below (Alt text is added as well) if you're interested in learning more. More than ever, I want to do what I can to spread some kindness. Creating art, even personal art, is important.
