Photograph taken from inside a large chamber looking out down a small stone passageway with low ceiling towards a sunshine-lit entry point at Carn Luny, Cornwall.

This ancient village was occupied from the Iron Age and dates from C2th to C4th AD. Run by English Heritage, they estimate it was abandoned around the end of the Roman occupation of Britain.

The site is incredible and in the depths of Cornwall. Have become fascinated by these sites over the past few years. Always look to see what examples are nearby if I'm exploring an area.

My lovely friend Andru who lives in Cumbria is down in Cornwall this week, so yesterday we did one of my favourite walks — #ChapelCarnBrea to #CarnEuny & back, then up to top of Chapel Carn Brea for the glorious 360-degree view! Pics & text: www.facebook.com/share/p/1Ajg...
