I found a rare spot to pull to the side of the road on Kingsbury Grade, a steep, winding, mountain road that connects Lake Tahoe and Carson Valley. Curves in the road can be seen looking down the side of the mountain, and conifer trees cover the mountains. In the distance the Sierra Nevada range continues with snow-topped peaks. Dramatic puffy clouds hang over the mountains. Nevada side of Kingsbury Grade near Lake Tahoe.

A shot of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains from the Carson Valley below. An irrigation ditch flows toward the camera, and green farmland stretches toward the mountains.
