3/10 The rejection of the party slate was comprehensive.

Unofficial results suggest independents, most with #progressive leanings, also beat #conservative party candidates in eight of the city’s 12 wards.

#Cartmell conceded, though four of his party's council candidates did win seats.

#Riverdale wins a small victory for our #RiverdalePlace #affordablehousing #tenants with a zoning regulation, but no guarantee it will stand... #Wright, #Cartmell, #Prinicipe, and #Rice voted no. But it passed! Thanks ##AnneStevenson and others #yeg #citycouncil

A colour photograph in landscape format. It shows part of a stone floor in ancient Cartmel Priory, with an engraving of a skull and crossbones and underneath a glass timer with wings. The picture suggests that the deceased person has run out of time and their soul is flying to heaven. The deceased was Jane Atkinson who died in 1760 aged 73. RIP.

A crisp stone in Cartmel Priory, #Cumbria. The skull and crossbones represented death, not piracy, and was a common symbol used a lot on gravestones at the time. RIP.
