The grand staircase of what would be a home, plus apartment units. Very few straight lines, except where necessary, such as the steps themselves.

Continuation of the staircase, looking up into the lightwell at the core of the casa.

Landing at the top of a curving staircase, with built-in light stand and skylights. The undulating walls have no corners. A serpentine of hooks is to hang artwork.

Can I use “undulating” twice in one post? Note the ribbon of carved wood on the inside edge of this spiral stairs and suggest an alternative.

I was drawn to it because the shape, placing and lighting of the chains reminds of an orchid, or a yoni.
