She doubled over, feeling spikes shift in her neck, and bars rub and grind on her bones.
Tiny rivulets of blood seeped out from beneath the tight metal. On her raw skin, it felt like razorblades.

Sunday's eyes fluttered open. He stayed on his knees as his hands slowly slipped out of their praying position and he warily gazed around the quiet church.
This wouldn't be the first disturbance in the middle of a prayer... But it always made his sweat run cold.
